Oh I'm sure I'll be wrong, but the key is to watch back to back so you get in the zone. Then things can start coming to light more.

Correct, that's why I have gone back and re-watched certain scenes again and ep 10 was great as slowly Lynch is showing us some connection. I think Laura and Mayor Briggs are playing a vital role here, plus Im going over the secret history of twin peaks again.
Though I just can't figure out Diane

Lynch has previously said TP17 is meant to be an "18-hour movie" so one day I might sit through it in one go. Probably Christmas before i have the time.

I just watched Dumbland, wth lol that's awesome. And, yes, that bear! The scene with Richard, Johnny and his Grandma was hard to watch. Richard's screen presence is so strong and eerie

Also, the 3 showgirls remind me of Inland Empire . I am beginning to think we'll end up seeing more of Candie, something is going on there.
I ended up re-watching a few of scenes from ep10, looks like Chad might've picked the wrong letter ?
Dumbland is...insane. And weird. "I'm a one-armed duck f***er" wut

And here's an interesting interview with Eamon Farren, ala Richard Horne. Sounds like a cool guy (as Aussies are!) http://www.vulture.com/2017/07/eamon-farren-twin-peaks-lynchian-villain.html

Yes, Chad picked up the wrong letter - hint in the credits!

ah yea, the surname is different and Lucy was watching him. Talking about Lucy, her talk about time was interesting and then it reminded me of Andy checking his watch while waiting for the truck owner.

Btw, I was surprised to learn Eamon Farren is an Australian actor, never heard of him before, he is doing a great job playing evil Richard. And yes, he does remind me of Frank Booth, both evil and twisted. Eamon doesnt give much away lol.....

What do you make of the theory that Richard is the child of Audrey and Evil Cooper?
I would never make any assumptions, Devon. Ever. [Laughs.]

Dumbland "i like your shed" haha what an odd clip.

I like the idea that Lucy and Andy are smarter than they showed to be. Be great if Lucy nails Chad's treachery.

Also a Far-fetched theory is that Miriam didn't say which sheriff Truman she sent the letter to... So, remote possibility of a Harry reference? One can dream, I love Harry S. (even though Michael Ontkean isn't on the cast list)

Unfortunately Harry S isn't part of s3.

Last week Andy and Lucy provided us with a subtle clue over the colour of the chair... In the end, M Briggs's chair was hiding an important note so it's probably worth listening to Lucy and Andy's conversations

Yes, although trying to catch every clue in every conversation is driving me nuts. Didn't Lucy also ramble on about the time when her and Andy thought the clock has stopped? I reckon there's something in that. Similar to the shift in people in the diner at the end of one episode.

We should probably listen to that conversation again, there's something about time and was Andy's watch set at the right time while waiting for the truck owner.

Also, do you remember Lucy talking about rabbits / bunnies in the earlier episodes? And, now we know about jack's rabbit place.

"it's Not about the bunny! - or is it?" gotta love it

Andy's watch was at 4.30 wasn't it (or was that the time he booked with the farmer?). And that was a time mentioned by the Giant too. PS. I can't see GWS's mascot The G Man without thinking about the TP Giant

He leans on the word "lean" far too much

Has to be said that finishing each episode with a song is a pretty cool touch i recon.

Me too, plus I think the lyrics provide us a message or a summary of that particular episode.

....................

My dream is to go
To that place
You know the one
Where it all began
On a starry night
On a starry night
When it all began

Andy was supposed to meet the farmer at 430 but he never showed up....

Agrees but also means when the roadhouse is on, I despair because that's another week till the next episode

Seriously expecting ep11 to be something completely different now... Maybe like a cooking show. Because we were dreaming in the previous 10. Or something

maybe especially after ep8 now that was so unexpected. I am still thinking about that episode and that image of Laura appearing at Gordon's door was just odd because if you remember that scene was taken from fwwm which was the moment she realised her dad was bob.

The wait between episodes is driving me crazy. May have to rewatch on the weekend, episode is definitely worth at least 1 rewatch.

Noone I know is interested in this show except my sister and she hasn't watched any if s3 yet so I have noone to talk about this with. Also driving me crazy.

Was that the scene where she gets to Donna's house and says "are you my friend?" Or is it from missing pieces? I've watched so much TP the last month it's all starting to blur

Same, I find most people I know are more interested in Games of Thrones whereas Id rather talk about twin peaks

That scene is from FWWM when she arrives at Donna's house crying, asking are you my best friend.

Would you guys say Lynch provides a lot of misdirection in his obscure and cryptic crumb-dropping? Or would you say all of his crumb-dropping is always tied together genuinely to a truthful reveal later?

In the original twin peaks there were plenty of red herrings but it depends how much influence he had over those episodes.

I'd say for the most part his work generally has a "everything is tied together" feel however 18hrs is unprecedented so there is room for plenty of stray crumbs.

The original TP was a bit different from his other works and he was forced to reveal the killer sooner than later (thanks to the network). Usually i find Lynch likes to tied everything together in most of his films though I still confused watching Lost Highway and Inland Empire.

Imo, he ties everything together and there are no misdirections. The original TP was compromised by the networks and much of the episodes written and directed by other people. Why season 2 especially was shit, a mere soap-opera without much twisted stuff.

The only Lynch film that still confuses me is Inland Empire, perhaps also because I've only watched it once, and it's far far chopped up than most his other films which at least have a stream of a plot flowing thru.

Ive seen Inland Empire a few times and I still get confused with some scenes and the ending, such a bizarre film.
GG.exe you need to catch up on Season 3!
I've caught up on season 3! Watched all 10 episodes. But....I want to re-watch them all back-to-back on the weekend to try to give an over-arching theory in this thread. I saw each episode like one a day, but in between was like 10 hours of work and stuff, and also tired late at night....so it's easy to lose track of stuff going on, not notice subtle things, forget characters names, and generally get those gut-feelings and insights about what something might mean when watching.
