So those are the names that are likely to make up at least a quarter of Tasmania's first AFL list?

Potentially or a 5th.

How exciting (and possibly a bit overawing.)

How do you tell the boys that there's an opportunity to play for Tassie but not let it be the boys' overriding thought hourly daily weekly monthly yearly?

Further, be interesting if any of the boys and girls were at the Tassie Devils branding and logo launch in March.

The U15 kids in vic a lot of being involved in the current Vic Junior Metro interleague development series atm, going over the next few weeks between the local metro leagues.
Interleague is Saturday and Monday.

Yes, Saturday and Monday.

Southern are hosting Yarra under lights at Moorabbin after the Sandringham VFL game...I'm sure that will be a thrill for the boys

Yeah, they'll enjoy that.
Pies have Ted Fraser playing in the U15. He's a tall boy at his age. I think close to as tall as his father atm, so no wonder he's playing ruck.

Ted is the tallest in the squad at 6 4. However, he is not playing ruck.

As you'd imagine, Ted is going to be a bit slower to develop than some others as he grows into his body (talls always take longer), but he moves well and has good skills.

No playing ruck? I assumed with his height he would be. Not too many his height at that age. Where's he playing - forward? back? I know he also plays school footy for st kevins.

No he's playing forward for Yarra (even Wing) and forward/relief rucking for Ashburton (club). Yarra has another kid 6 4.

Eastern had a kid at 6 6 - much more developed than the Yarra kids

Thanks for the info. That's interesting to know.

Watched the Swans Academy v GC Academy yesterday and couldn't have been more impressed with Aidan McCartney.

However, if you are born in 2008, as all the boys yesterday were, doesn't that make you eligible for the 2026 draft?

It does.

However, there are a few 2009-ers scattered about in the U16's squads.

Bit late, but another name for 2027 Draft Western Australia is Gloire Baraka.

He's a Wesley College, same school as Ben Cousins and Buddy. Coached him early and his burst from stoppage is second to none. Not sure which district he plays Footy(Zone) but will probably make the u16 next year.
