how could you say that Bullants are a discrace??? We were the only team this year that actually fronted up with the same players every week and we were harshley dealt with by the VAFA having to play Rupo 4 times instead of twice and playing dud teams like St bernards and UHS-VU in rounds 9 and 10. And did we complain?? no, we went out and played with the same group of boys we did the week before (unlike other teams who swapped TAC cup and U/19s players in and out). The rules and draws in this comp are ****ed and YOU ARE AN IDIOT

so 'Kane Lambert' winner of the Northern Knights best and fairest last year who played 4 games for you this year, the first being on the 31st of july... played in that team every week??
yeah nice try.
YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

The merry-go-round with ground changes continues....
Kevin Bartlett Reserve, Burnley now to host
Oakleigh vs Werribee at 2pm
and
St Johns vs St Bernards at 11:30am

A small ground - with steady rain forecast for all day, it would seem.

Will suit bigger bodies than speed, I would think

No rain until the evening , ground has been cut and rolled and will be rolled Friday again , looks like it will be a fast track

Werribee have the Need For Speed

U are talking About one unattached player who came and played for us in the last four rounds of the season when we were well and truly out of finals contension. But hey just imagine the knid of damge we could have done if he had of come down say 3or4 rounds earlier. So yeh nice try. I was talking about teams that Deliberatly put u/19s players in there team because they knew they couldn't beat the better teams without them. No way OC and Oakleigh would have made the finals ahead of us if they didn't have their 'help'.

Unattached? He was a permitted player, you twit! What's unattached about that? He wasn't the only one.
And I would like to know the names of players 'deliberately put' on by the teams you've named that provided such massive 'help'.

Dramatic change in the forecast, Tigers playing at Kevin Bartlett Oval, coud this be an omen ?? I'd suspect, given that Oakleigh U19's won the 2nd semi last week, they may load up to ensure the 18's get through. Interesting day ahead ! Good luck to both sides.

Actually this year has worked the other way around Lemms. Our 18s have loaded up the 19s. Five 18s lads have played most the year in 19s including 100 goal kicker Tscoulalas. Having played more than 10 games 'up' these boys cannot play back. However we do have some 17yo and 16yo available now that MSJFL finals are over. Going to be a great contest tomorrow..........Krushers by a whisker...........and St Bernards to go to Div 2 GF.

the round where the rest of the VAFA had the week off and the 18s was the only comp going around... st bedes travelled to preston... each round previously they had played with 16 players and some how managed to have 22 against us. and by looking at team lists of their 19s boys it seems they played about 4-6 of their better 19s players against us. names? barnhoorn (who played predominantly in seniors this year), foley, doyle and N seeber just to name a few

Well Mindy, I'm gonna stick my neck out and take the Tigers in an upset @ KB Park. Agree with the Bernies call, Anthony has them ticking along nicely at the right time of the year. Again, good luck to all.

st bernards smashed st johns this morning.
grand final div 2;
st bernards v uhs/vu.... two best teams in the comp without doubt.

When we went to play St Bedes for the second time they only had 16 players on the team sheet and their team manager asked us if we would play with 16 players as well (we had 22 players) of course we said "no". they wouldn't play with 18 when they played at preston so we weren't playing with 16 at St Bedes.

Was perfect conditions for the Krushers, not so much for the quicker Werribee lads. Hopefully better conditions at Visy Park next Sunday, reckon it will be an arm wrestle, all the best Lemms.....
Watched the Snowdogs big 2nd quarter in heavy conditions against Jocs, I reckon they will continue their form against UHS next weekend.
Tips : Krushers and Snowdogs.................

Yes Mindy, I'm happy with Visy Park, plenty of space to work with. It should be in good nick, given the way it held up last weekend for the TAC games. I'm tipping a Rupo / Bernies double. Good Luck !

Division 2

UHS for the win, better skilled, more team orientated, more commitment to the ball.

Big crowd expected at the game.

dont see how u can say that uhs are 'more team orientated'.

and if you think they have more commitment at the ball then you clearly didn't watch the last time the two sides played.
uhs had a 5 goal breeze in the first quater, yet only managed under a goal because st bernards continually caused stoppages by commiting themselves to the ball.
goodluck though...

Yeah Lemms, well done to Rupo. I actually enjoyed watching the way they went about it. They handled the big ground beautifully and your backs did a sensational job on our big forwards.
The Krushers learnt valuable lessons on committment and discipline and with 14 of Sundays 24 going around again next year that will be a positive.
Congratulations to Dean Calcedo on winning the Div 1 comp B&F and Chipperfield winning Div 2.

Augers well for next year Mindy. We have 12 going up and our 2 U16 sides were Premiers and Runners Up in their comps. Looks like we'll both be around the mark again next year. Bring it on !

Any idea of the team makeup for NZ ?

Last I heard we have 3 going and Rupo have 3 (maybe 4) all other teams are represented except Aquinas who have declined. Was a great trip last year and I can recommend it to any parents or supporters. The NZ lads were not as big as expected and their skill level was average but they were athletic and hard at it. The 'Haka' up close and personal surprised a few of our lads !

The boys going to NZ will have a ripper time.

Went last year was one of the best experiences of my life.

Football wise alot of fun NZ players can play but lack the skills to really damage teams especially there marking.

Rest of the trip was good fun, hit the clubs in NZ on a Saturday night was good fun.
