Speaking on the 3 week gap.

Some people on twitter were saying it can't be brought back because of other leagues finish later than the prem.

What if they made the prem finish a week or 2 later and maybe took out 1 game around Christmas/Jan and put it a week before matchday 38?

Has it always been a three week gap? Why can’t they move one of the playoff finals to the same weekend as the FA Cup final, then have the other playoff finals the same weekend as the champions league final.

That’s the most logical thing. The reason we had the three week gap is because they like to have all three playoff finals on the bank holiday weekend.

Play off finals and fa cup are all at Wembley. Usually play off finals are same weekend as CL though, not sure why this year was different, but that'd still be a two week gap.

Didnt they move it to a weekend too? I'm sure the miracle of Istanbul was a mid week game IIRC.

Yeah, used to be played on a Wednesday night European time until maybe 5 years ago I reckon.
