19 consecutive years in the champions league under Wenger was something I took for granted.
Brilliant to be back in it now, that anthem being belted out was fantastic. Only Elneny of Arsenal’s current squad has featured in the CL for Arsenal before.
Lovey result too, dominant display. Inflicted PSV’s worst ever CL loss I believe on Arsenal’s return to the competition. Great stuff.

Surprised he wasn't replaced.
What is the point of having 3 keepers on the bench if you aren’t going to use them? Could have given them each a quarter of the game. If it worked for Ten Hag he would have looked like a genius, if it didn't it wouldn't matter as his reputation couldn't be much lower

Can free agents still be signed? Maybe ETH could bring DDG back and bench Onana if that were an option.

Why not? If his name was Pickford everyone would have him never playing again. Everyone gets seduced by the highlights on YouTube but there are plenty of low lights in a similar vein on YouTube where he fails to save simple shots. It was well known before he was signed but ETH wanted his guy despite the step up.

You have to ask yourself if the people on here that crap on Pickford actually really have those thoughts about Pickford or if it’s just a way to irritate you? I mean, when you’ve done it to 98% of all opposition players from clubs that people on here support, maybe talking down about Pickford is just a way to irritate you.

My least favourite part of the early stages of a new season is the clamour to judge every signing as either the best or worst signing ever~! after four games.
The realtity if the value of any new signing takes months to establish. Except Havertz. He really is the worst signing of the summer.
Nice way to mark our return to the CL. Great performance leading into the NLD and some valuable minutes into some fringe players.
