Feel a little bad for Moicano, on one hand he may have never got a title shot ever so maybe this was a blessing but he was also never gonna be able to beat him on a days notice either and he likely never gets another shot now either.

Guy should be going up to 170 next but his resume at LW isn't there yet for mine.

And Merab looked good in the presser. Blood wiped away, there wasn't much damage. Three or four little cuts/grazes.
And true, certain spots on the face are easy to cut, others aren't.
Besides Arman, there's really only the winners of Gaethje/Hooker and Gamrot/Fiziev who would be legit opponents for him and line up timeline wise. Of those, I feel only Gamrot would be a real challenge (prime Gaethje would have been), but that's not an appetising match-up at all.
Age has caught up to the division, and 33 year old Islam likely wants to try his hand at a higher weight before the next wave comes.

no one at 155 is any good, just give Islam the double champ fight at 170

What’s strong about it?, all one dimensional strikers, Dustin has never won a belt after 3 attempts, Chandler sat out for two years, Justin got knocked out by a fighter from the division below and from Rank 6 onward there all journeyman or never were men.
The only threat is Arman and he doesn’t deserve the fight now.
Islams defences are the 145 champ x2, one a close fight the other was two weeks notice so imo you void that and Dustin who was never a threat and now another 1 day late notice fight.

Dustin's had 3attempts and they were losses to Khabib ( undefeated ) Islam who might even be a better version of Khabib and Charles who's also an unbelievable fighter. That's a silly way to look at it, he did beat Holloway for Interim aswell
Like saying Jamahal Hill and Sean Strickland are better fighters than because they won a title
Be the same way to write off Whittaker's career because he never won an undisputed title.
155 is incredible because no fresh contenders can get into the top 5 because it's so strong.
