It's a difficult area to study. Folks tend to see culturally appropriate material. Some of it may just be the brain shutting down, nonetheless some report pretty amazing experiences especially those who get the top down view from above their body and seem to be able to describe events involved in their resuscitation. Bit off topic, but I'm trying to remember the name of a book. The front cover has an alien with a head that is somewhat shaped like a flower. The book recounts a supposed true story, of an alien/human breeding program, where a human woman is captured by aliens, and is impregnated with alien dna using some sort of alien ivf. Multiple hybrids were born of this, and the aliens come back to earth regularly to monitor the hybrids. Cheers.
