id prefer 3-4 but I’ve gone with the 6 if that’s what it needs to be

We have squads of 40, so minimum 6 sounds good to keep the draft semi meaningful (might be able to pick up a ready made player?), but in all matters with this league, I'm happy to go with the majority.

How about 5? That’s 12.5 percent list turnover each year? Means you can keep most of your young up and comers but still might drop a 30-35 player or two that another coach might benefit from? Gives some incentive to the coaches at the bottom of the ladder that the top players won’t stay on top by hogging good players for ever?

You can. At the league home page there will be options at the top like nominate keepers or set ore draft rankings

OK. minimum of 5 de-listings it is then. Next decision is draft time. I was thinking Friday or Saturday evening (5/3, 6/3, 12/3 or 13/3). Any of these dates suit or not suitable to anyone (or any other suggestions?)

Its not a full draft. Start a slow online draft asap. Eg 12 hours. And have a cut off date where it moves to 1 min a pick at a certain time

Also theres a thread in this section called big footy premier league. Its just a regular category game 1 season. Not a keeper. Looking for more players

Good idea, but we'll have to wait until we have a full complement of coaches. Only 4 have returned so far, which is a bit of a worry, but I've committed to not filling their places until 20 Feb, so we'll have to wait a little while for draft to start etc.

Not that I'm aware off. I ended up googling AFL 2020 Delistings and Retirements. This helped a bit, but it didnt seem to take account of players that were relisted

‘yes. Reactivate your team, go to view keeper selections and you will see your team. It will show you who isn’t on an AFL list

Really? I had Jetta and Pittard on my list and those guys just aren't there anymore

Ok, time is up for returning coaches. We have 8 returned out of 12, so I am now opening up the remaining teams for interested coaches in this thread initially, and if necessary to the public in UF later tomorrow (so get in quick ).

For info, new coaches will take over an existing squad (all 12 teams were pretty competitive last year). After being allocated a team, you will need to confirm your keepers (a maximum of 35 out of your squad of 40) and then we'll conduct a draft to fill the remaining spots in the reverse ladder order from last year. Interested parties Elite Pete and barnabyjones please note.
