Roast umpire embroiled in brownlow betting scandal

Just like how the NBA has only ever had one conviction for referee corruption.

AFL are kidding themselves if they think this is an isolated incident.
they dont think shite cos they are the ones leading the corruption

they know damn well how umpires are corrupt and influence games cos they are the ones that orchestrate it

Taking the voting off the umpires would make the medal just another award.
The whole interest of the award is that it is the umpires voting.
Valid point. Raines getting no votes was interesting. Woewodin being shit was interesting. Greg Williams breaking taggers noses every game was interesting as well.
Better leaving it to the umpires and not some ex-Geelong laden panel to decide.

A sometime application of the rules means for zero integrity, refer to that incident and elim final score review , rules corrupted to engineer a result
I think the dissent rule was a perfect example of this. Players were given 50m penalties for just asking the ump for clarification on a free given away. Other times players would go off their nut at the ump yet no 50m penalty. Too many rules left up to the umpires discretion.

remember how they trialled it on us against the blooze rd 1

of course the afl has already trotted out the line "it had no impact on the outcome of the brownlow medal"

how predcitable is this organisation
According to SEN the round 6 Fremantle Carlton game was one of the 16 games that could have been affected

Fremantle def Carlton
3 Patrick Cripps (Blues)
2 Rory Lobb (Dockers)
1 Alex Pearce (Dockers)

The only game where a side (Carlton) lost by 35 points and a player (Carlton) got three votes. Cripps got 32 possessions and three goals however the top 5 possession winners were all Carlton players so clearly possession numbers did not tell the story.

But the AFL will say the Brownlow medal wasn't affected just like the goal review in the Tigers Brisbane final didn't affect the result either and I suspect we will get about as much evidence to support this claim as we got for the goal review.

Who wins the free kick count is the one punting market you can never find. Why wouldn't they just give odds on it like everything else. Cos they know it's rigged
So the AFL wants all games to be as close as possible and everyone to turn up to game day feeling their team has a chance. Maybe this betting scandal actually explains what we all know anyway when there’s a free kick count of say 22-10 at halftime and by games end it’s 32-27 or something like that. Everyone can see the corruption and BS. Sport is cooked.

Anyone without their head up their ass can see it. Problem is if we're the main one's who cop it most don't think there's any issue at all

The AFL tracks viewer numbers based on how close the game is and total scores. High scoring close games attract the highest viewer numbers. Does anyone trust the AFL not to take the next logical step and actually manufacture these outcomes?

What have I been saying……..Match Fixing

They have conclusive vision to support their claim

Why do umpires need to be wired to upstairs during a game, don’t tell they don’t receive direction?

Suggesting that he manipulated votes to get certain players up is complete fantasy stuff. Reality is it was almost certainly just spot betting. He told them who got the 3 votes in certain rounds and they put money those on

Would have triggered suspicion when they got too many right (and/or put all the exact same bets on at the same time), they should have thrown in a few wrong ones and staggered the information amongst each other. Got greedy and got caught

I'm sick of playing Bloos round 1 so they can trial their shit new rules on us

Easier to fix matches
since the stand rule came in the umps always pick and choose frees to deliver a close game

frees dry up for one side when the other side is too far behind, then the side that is behind get gifted until its a close finish

all this while they are mic'd up to afl officials and the farc

check out the carltoon / colonwood in rd 23 with finals/top 4 on the line, blooze got reamed till pies were comfortably in front, then the frees dried up and the blooze started getting gifted till they hit the front, then they reversed again till it was a close finish

royal commission into afl corruption is the only way

The umpire could admit to fixing every game for Cripps to win it and the AFL would still say it didn't affect the result.

Not even joking, think back to Jobe Watson. They were about to let slide a bloody convicted drug cheat winning it. Only handed back the medal out of shame on his own terms.

we need to remove the americanisation of the game

since they got obsessed with that shite the game has gone corrupt as all fu*k

american sports are farken rigged as

So if Cripps gets stripped of the Brownlow the bookies that got done will have to pay out all the Neale bets. There was 10x more money on Neale who was the hot favourite, they'd lose millions more than what this ump took them for

He was the ******** that called play on for Balta less than the 25 seconds, so no they Don’t influence results
The ump has been found guilty of passing on Brownlow vote info. If they find him guilty of betting on Richmond games then string him up. The Balta play on call was harsh on Balta cos we know he can kick 70m. So Balta calls to the ump I'm having a shot, ump calls play on, Gawn spoils we lose by 22 Balta goals we lose by 16. With bets on margins maybe that was important

The Brizzy final Lynch goal overrule was wrong but we still let them kick a goal after that to win the game. We are shocking at close games.

Hopper & Tarranto better make us a 30 point better side. Or we take a leaf out of the Pies close game book. If its the illiterate Pies there's probably no words anyhow.

under Gill the AFL has totally lost its moral compass it is so bent that its no wonder such corrupt behaviour is supported and promoted with lies by the AFL such as the ARC, bespoked rule changes to target a single club and umpire standards have fallen.

Gill has turned the AFL into a corrupt political beast to feed his insatiable appetite for anything left wing and deplorably woke.

Sam Newman was right it just cannot be left as a football game, chasing the pig skin around the oval the AFL has to wade into the sewer of woke politics and woke political agendas

images

Just like the once great cheese brand Coon that made its owners millions of dollars a year without fail they changed its name from the founder Mr Coon to Cheers to align with corrupt woke agenda and they have now gone bust because no one is buying into this once iconic Australian brand, so too the AFL will go down this path with its continued woke administration and direction.

Maffra a great town it is going to lose nearly 80 workers due to their Canadian owners mental illness and the AFL is not immune

go woke go broke

And they are breaking the game.
