FIRST TEST - DAY 2 - EVENING SESSION
The final session of Day 2 is shortened due to rain, but we will fit in about 25 overs!
Johnny Karate has ball in hand ready to finish their over, whilst Yakker and Bluelegs need to get the Reds off to a good start.
Will there be some dampness? Will there be swing? So many questions for a simulated game!

The Sleds were able to take some quick wickets early in the session to leave the Reds in all sorts at 3/45.
However, some backs-to-the-wall batting from Heardy_101 and Bluelegs sees them through the remainder of the session to reach 3/90, still trailing by 349 runs.

Round 1 v. Wonders - game stats

Now that it's stumps on day two of the cricket, I'll pst some more stats.
It was a great start to the season with some huge efforts in Round 1.
Posting
Gralin punched out 200 posts with Wosh and Headless also prolific with 143 and 143 respectively. cats2rise also broke the ton.
It was great to see tgrs and p4p1 up and about in Round 1, both finishing in the 40s and proving how valuable their addition to the team will be in Season 38.
moginie and Scythe94 both passed 50 and cooney rounded out the top 10 with 22 posts.
DT score v Head to Head score
I've introduced a new satistic this season. This number represents a players performance compared to their direct starting opponent's performance. If their DT score is higher than their opponent the Head to Head score will increase, and vice-versa if the opponent's DT score is higher. It is essentially the player's DT score plus or minus the difference between their score and their opponents'.
Gralin topped the DT, closely followed by Marlowe who who had a great game after coming off the bench. Their Head to Head scores were very high, reflecting how easily they beat their direct opponents. Marlowe jumped ahead of Gralin because he beat his opposiing interchange player more easily than Gralin beat his direct opponent.
cooney and jmoo wan also dominated against their direct opponents with Head to Head scores much higher than their DT scores.
Scythe94 and cats2rise had good games in the muddy midfield as did p4p1 on debut and Wosh in the centre.
tgrs did well against his direct opponent and Van_Dyke fumbled the ball a lot less than usual at CHB.
Goals
Marlowe starred here as well, kicking three goals. I kicked 5 in unfavourable conditions for key forwards and sante started this season in similar goal kicking form to Season 37, kicking two, along with Scythe94 and cooney.
Other Statistics
Top 5 lists have also been included for Disposals, Marks, Tackles, Frees For and Frees Against. I will complete a similar table for season statistics starting next week.
I will also be posting tables ranking all midfielders, forwards, defenders, and interchange players each week.
Round 1 v. Wonders - DT rankings

Brownlow Medallist
Demons mids were outscored in DT stats but kicked three goals to one, courtesy of Scythe94 and p4p1.
Gralin easily won his wing and cats2rise fought hard in the ruck.
Wosh and moginie had much bigger weeks off the field than they had on it.
The Demons defenders were a lot more productive than the Wonders defenders which was a major factor in our win. No defender from either team managed to drift forward to kick a goal.
jmoo wan led the defender DT stats from the pocket, completely dominating his opponent, while Van_Dyke had a great battle at CHB.
manangatang held the opposition Full Forward to just three goals and Yakker didn't let his opponent touch the qooty.
cartwright had a tough assignment as did Bluelegs, who's opponent slipped away to kick four goals from the flank.
Both forward lines were pretty even, finishing ony six DT and one goal apart.
cooney had a big day on his flank, dominating his opponent in DT and also kicking two goals. I had a solid game, finishing with five goals.
tgrs and sante both beat their opponents, the latter kicking two goals. DERO and Truetiger both both kicked one goal in close battles with their opponents.
The Demons bench was a lot more productive than the Wonders bench thanks mostly to Marlowe who was among the best players on the ground. In a game where the forward lines from both sides were very close in productivity, his three goals were one of the major differences between the two sides.
Headless got to just sit back and enjoy the show in his first game a captain.

Welcome back to Day 3
After the Sleds were bowled out for 439 (Proper Gander 124, sante 78, tgrs 6/46, Headless 4/144), the Reds have lost early wickets and are 3/90 in reply (Bluelegs 43*, Heardy_101 21*, Johnny Karate 2/18).
cartwright will be bowling the first over of the day.
