Round 2's Divvy 1 wrap up.
Mont V Research.
In the upset of the round Mont beat search by 15 points at Monty to perhaps send a warning sign to the comp.
the usual culprits dominating for Mont, while hendo, the captain canty, buller and meale played well for search. A good tight game which is what the league is begging for!
Mill Park v Greensborough.
my smoky tip was Mill Park to get close but unfortunately they couldn't as greensy won 93-28 in the wind. No doubt the winning margins for all teams could have been more if wind and rain weren't present. Williams/Tony Lockett and keating were amongst the goals again, the usual best players seemed to stand up again. All single goalkickers to Mill Park with lone ranger Briffa playing well (still amazes me how he is playing knights though!)
Whit v Eltham
Whittlesea coming off a schlacking last week played well and just got rolled by eltham. janan daniel played well with mcmurray and carlyon not far behind. elthams usual workhorses avv, stephens, anderson and merkel got amongst it.
It looks like a pretty inconsistent comp atm, with Mont, greensy and search standing way above the other three.
Who will drop down? Who will come up?

it wasnt that Monty played really any good it was just the Research played worse
n the umpirining on the day was terrible!!
is it just me or has the umpiring in div 1 gone backwards?
if any teams were to go down of course it would be whittlesea and mill park... but they still mite b to strong for the div 2 sides

apparently research have again used their stupid rule where if you're a bottom age under 17 (no matter how skilful) you will be put into division 4, silly seeing how research have plenty of bottom age kids who could play divvy 1 and would aid their ones to push for a flag.

Im playing at Preston RSL, and i can safely say there is nothing of the above in my wardrobe. Not sure why your talking about fashion sense on a football forum? quite odd to me, just google fashion forums, and im sure there should be a few results on there for you buddy.
Anyway, was a great win by Preston RSL, who didnt make enough of their opportunities on a windy wet day, and if it were against good opposition, it could have cost us. We dictated the play throughout the entire game, and i think this win gave us some invaluble experience in learning each others game style. Wallan this week will be a tough game, and im hopeful it will be closer than the other games in which Wallan have contested. Im also hopeful it isnt going to be as cold as it was yesterday!!

Yeah, but we dominated most of the game, what let WP down was the turn overs, we'll kick the ball in the forward line, but there's barely anyone close enough to mark the ball and take a crack at the goal. Turnovers killed us.

Don't know which game you were watching or playing in mate, but Search we're clearly on top most of the day. 27 shots on goal compared to 18 probably confirms it. Search should've kicked away in the 3rd quater but missed 5 or 6 easy shots. They let WP back in the game in the last quater when it should have been a dead game at 3 quarter time. Search 4 goal win, with plenty of improvement to come.

-These two have been rivals for a number of years and it's always great to have a dog fight. Guys like Montanaro and Avramov love to slug it out with the Mont boys. This one could be closer than you think. Mont had a great win last week in an upset against the search mob so they might get complacent.
X-Factor, Stephens

- It's the game most have been waiting for (not me), both teams with knights players who could possibly resume at their respective teams (Barden, McNeilage, Riddle, Shaw). I got word of a few key injuries to boro players can anyone confirm this? The availability of the Knights players will determine this one.

You'd expect Mill Park to win seeing as they have some players who can turn a game, but it seems as though Whittlesea are better suited to Division 2. research will beat greensborough as they are a solid side who have come through togethor.

Morang had a good win today knocking off west lalor by 30 goals, massive win though they might not have been the best opposition but a 30 goal win is still a 30 goal win.
