Got a inkling that Nasri is on his way. Wont sign a new contract and his workrate has dropped off big time in recent weeks. Inter would be my guess as to his destination.

Nasri plays a whole lot better off Chamakh and without Fabregas, as he takes up the AMC position. I wouldn't be too averse to dropping Fabs to the bench and playing Nasri centrally off Chamakh with VP and Walcott the wide players.

I don't know why we don't play Chamakh more often, he was our big buy of the summer - massive aerial threat, most headed goals in the last 4 seasons out of the French, German, English and Spanish leagues, IIRC. Bendtner always comes on first and hasn't done anything of repute as a sub all season.

Sagna didn't play he's injured

but I agree on the Chamakh point I'm not sure why he isn't getting much if any game time Nasri played better towards the end of the game and was I preferring the ball at his feet over Fabregas', cesc had a shocker was probably close to our worst though he played a decent game the week before, I'm 99% sure he's gone at the end of the season.

Not sure why Nasri doesn't take players on any more, Arshavin doesn't do it enough they both play well below themselves, Arshavin for me has been our most disappointing player for the whole season I'm not sure what his problem is I think it's probably laziness/lack of confidence it's just annoying because they both have major talent they just don't use it.

Best thing to come out of the season by an absolute mile is Wilshere he is amazingly good for a 19 year old and is going to be a top 10 probably top 5 player in the world for sure. I love his game, his toughness it's a joy to watch something Arsenal as a whole severely lack, Sagna has also been good and the emergence of Szczesny also when Van Persie FINALLY got on the field reminded everyone just how good of a player he is.

But yeah this season has most definitely probably been the most frustrating in a while I still think we are the best team in the league we just don't have proper leaders on the pitch no one there is mentally tough enough just yet it's been a wasted season for sure. Our defense is pathetic and I hope we don't have to see Denilson again he's the worst player on our list or maybe Squillaci is?

Players that are not Arsenal standard:

Almunia
Rosicky
Lehmann
Denilson
Squillaci
Bendtner
Vela

I think we should replace clichy too

we need to get some tough mature players in the team we need to spend money for some guidance on the pitch we need better defenders but we've needed that for a fair while now and we need someone to help boss the midfield that Wilshere can play with and learn off. We probably need another world class striker too because Van Persie I don't think can make it through a season

is it just me or has cesc looked disinterested of late? yes he's had (a lot of) hamstring injuries (again) this season and is struggling to get back to his best form. but he fades in and out of games and doesnt appear to have the same drive of late. he's not the only one mind you, not trying to single him out...but his form recently has really been felt (same with nasri etc)
Playing as much as he has at his age, you can't be surprised to see it take some toll on him.

I understand those comments, but Cesc is our Captain.
He either digs deep and regains his mongrel attitude and sharpens up and shows that he bleeds red & white, or I reckon he should put us out of our misery and sign with Barca asap.
Our club severly lacks blokes who put it all on the line in times of need, and boy do we need leadership now more than ever!

That "Wenger would have been sacked by now in Spain" comment is as usual being spun as a negative thing by the scumbag British papers, but it's actually a big compliment to Arsenal. Seems to me he was saying the Spanish rush to fire managers does more harm than good.

from challenging for 4 trophies two months ago, to third spot on the table now.

cant fault the effort, both sides gave everything in a fantastic game of football. but how often this season have we failed to hold onto seemingly winning positions? i feel the 4-4 draw at newcastle really was a turning point, mentally we haven't been able to finish off the opposition

Talented but weak side. Weak as shit. Not sure what we can do to improve that really, its not as if we'll sign anyone big. Team needs to do something or it's the same story next season. Man Utd have had an average season and there squad isn't great, but they have a great mentality. They are winners and always will be winners.

We can produce a heap of talent, but without that strong mentality nothing will ever come of it. I believe in Wenger but he's gotta take responsibility and stop blaming stupid shit. Agree with Vermaelen in the side we'd be much stronger but can't blame that, we had the leads and we let them go because of idiotic moves by the likes of Diaby and Eboue, amongst other things (more Diaby than Eboue).

Play for the team, give your heart or get the **** out and rot in the Serie A. Don't care how big you think you are, you'll never be bigger than the team.

so it seems that (again) cesc has been mis-interpreted by the media. for what its worth, i actually thought the original comments (as quoted) was a fair call.

i know wenger loves to comment about how we're on a 16 game unbeaten run in the league etc, but seriously, what use are draws when we're actually trying to chase a team at the top of the table (and in doing so we've dropped to third)

Can someone give me a rundown on what exactly happened?
Saw the scoreline at the end and Fox Sports didn't show any highlights, just wondering who I have to hunt down.
Jesus f***ing christ we are rubbish, serious changes need to be made in the off season. Wenger is a brilliant manager, but we are now a rabble, a laughing stock that hasn't won a thing in 6 years. With all due respect, change your policy or f*** off.

What more could Szczesny do? The goalkeeper is not the problem.

Djourou and Koscielny were fantastic up until THAT turning point ... the Carling Cup **** up. Since then, they've been woeful. Djourou moreso after his injury.

But then again, RVP aside, you could say that about the whole team.

Can someone give me a rundown on what exactly happened?

They had 3 corners ... scored from 2 of them. There you go.

Yeah moreso talking about the goalkeeping situation from last season Szczesny has been great I think I just hate the fact Almunia was our No.1 keeper at the start of the season, Almunia and his constant **** ups

What happened today we defended like shit Djourou got caught out on both occasions I think and gave a away a soft penalty.

When is the last time we have scored off a corner?? We had this exact same problem last season and the season before, well we had the exact same problem with defending too at least the goalkeeping situation looks better.

I understand the frustration but not the logic.

Credit crunch for football clubs is not far away. Models are not sustainable. When interest rates rise to raine in inflation, and they soon will in Europe and then the US, the debt that Man U etc, have racked up, will really start to be a burden. Arsenal doesn't have the luxury of billionare benefactors ie City and Chelsea. What happens when they get bored? Neither can it rely on Spanish banks to forgive their debt every 5 years, ie Barca and Real. And honestly I prefer my club to be operated in this way.

I am a fan of the economics Wenger uses in running the club. The policy is correct, pay off the debt, develop the youth, instill the arsenal way. It has set the club up for the long term.

However he needs to be more truthful to the fans. On money spent, there is no way Aresnal can compete with the top european clubs and with Man U and Chelsea. This crap he spurts everyweek that we are still in the title hunt embarrasses himself and treats the fans as idiots. What was unforgivable was the refusal to buy a GK.

Yeah but if he spent a little bit of money on some proper cb's we would have won the title I have absolutely no doubt in my mind about that and we would have still been in the black with a ****ing title not just some seriously frustrated fans, extremely frustrated manager and probably getting absolutely sick and tired of it talented young players
