I’d rather the club goes full rebuild and fu**s off the overpaid underachievers.

Give Arteta the younger players and see if he can install his message and style in them after a few years. If that means we sit mid table then so be it....not like these current players are doing any better.

I’d rather watch the young players fail and learn than watch side show ******* making the same mistakes and never learning.
Yeah, also agree with this.

We started off promising but of course injuries meant forced subs and bringing on Luiz. He’s out of contract isn’t he? Let it run because he’s too costly. He’s given four penalties this season. FOUR! From one player. Thank god for Leno though. He had a great game.

Contract runs out June 30. Hopefully that is his last game in an Arsenal shirt with the red card suspension.

Luiz was a poor signing that was largely attributed to Emery. However Emery is long gone, and he continues to feature heavily in Arteta’s sides. And recently Arteta has spoken about his desire to extend Luiz’s contract. It’s baffling.

Sure, I get you need some experience in your line up rather than just playing a side full of youth. It’s the chosen “experienced” names that give great concern. Mustafi. Xhaka. Luiz. There’s a common denominator there.

They’re all guilty of moments of madness, it’s a matter of time. A ticking time bomb. That these guys are seemingly rated highly by Arteta is really confusing for me, despite the obvious signs of improvement otherwise since Arteta has taken over.

Where is Holding? He seems fit and in training. Yet not even in the match day squad?

Saliba will hopefully come straight into the XI next season. Hopefully alongside the likes of Mari and Holding, there’s also Mavrapanos in the wings. Possibly a new centre half to be signed. That’s the future.

Not a CB squad of Luiz, Mustafi, Sokratis etc. I’m a fan of Arteta, however some of his selections have been ridiculously poor.

Arteta needs to get some dependable experience into this team and not gaff riddled players like Luiz, Xhaka, Sokratis and Mustafi who are all damaged goods.

You can't sell 10 players realistically but if this was FIFA, I would be moving on:

-Sokratis
-Mustafi
-Luiz
-Soares (Making the Kalstrom experiment look inspired).
-Guendouzi
-Xhaka
-Willock
-Ceballos
-Mhkitaryan
-El Neny

A few younger players in there like Guendouzi and Willock but I just don't see it with those guys. I would sell them while they have potential to drive up their price a bit, the rest are either on loan with us or just not good enough anymore. This also doesn't include the likely outgoing to Aubameyang this summer, and Ozil, who we can't seem to get rid of.

Luiz was a Edu signing. Edu is very close to Kia.

I'd definitely hold Willock and Guendouzi. And probably Sokratis for another year.

Rest I agree.

There’s an option to buy Mari I believe, I don’t think it’s an obligation. Between his injury and then Cedric not even featuring (£5m loan fee I recall, ouch), it’s turned out to be some very average dealings in hindsight.

I would definitely keep Mari though in the CB squad ahead of Luiz.

A successful summer window for me would be selling Xhaka, Ozil and Mustafi. And releasing Luiz. Wouldn’t even care who we’d bring in, to me that would already be an excellent window.

Suspect Tierney will be playing as the left sided CB before too long. Broke our club record for vertical leap so shouldn't be too undersized.

Those asking for Holding haven't seen him since he returned from injury, been ****ing awful.

Seems to be a common problem unfortunately. Showing some promise but then getting derailed by injury. Holding, Mavrapanos. The list goes on.

Even against City, 2 injuries inside the first 25 minutes. Is it bad luck, or poor preparation? Hard to say.

Do we still have the Aussie guy as part of the strength and conditioning/physio? Did Port ever have such a bad run with injuries?

I believe it’s now Shad Forysthe. I don’t think he is Arteta’s apppointment, he was already at the club, in a supporting role to Burgess if I’m not mistaken.

When Burgess was at port our fitness started off great but after a couple of years... it did kind of look like the players were burnt out... I dont believe we had any more injuries then normal.

Emery fired Burgess. After Darren left, Arsenal's fitness levels dropped alarmingly. Burgess was at Liverpool and they suffered with too many soft tissue injuries, in my opinion, throughout his tenure there.

Port's soft tissue injuries were minimal under Darren but Soccer and Aussie Rules are different and thereby fitness and conditioning regimes must be adjusted.
