Love Caicedo as a player, but that fee is crazy. I'm so glad we wrapped up Rice so early, and even that felt like it dragged on.

I think this is right. Can’t see Partey at RB with the players we have on the bench.

Don’t recall seeing much of a back 3 during pre season, then again though it’s such a fluid system that I couldn’t definitively say.
My guess is that Rice will be in that LCB space when not in possession, perhaps akin to what Stones does for City.

Fascinating team selection. When our full backs invert, we revert to a back 3. But I don't know if Partey or Timber are inverting... or both. Looking forward to seeing what they've come up with.

Does seem to me that Partey has occupied that RB space.
White and Saliba as centre halves in almost a 2-5-3 set up in possession.

To me it's a 3-4-3 out of possession.
White, Saliba, Timber down the back.
Partey into the middle, front three remain the same.

Ngl was a minute away from posting Nketiah as our back up is a concern 
The system is that fluid that it changes quicker than I count to ten outfield players.

Would love a third goal early in the 2nd half to kill it off. Saka is joyous to watch.
Martinelli very good. His work rate. Havertz largely unsighted with most of the activity being on the right. Saliba, Rice, Partey controlling things very nicely. Rice has slotted in seamlessly. He’s even telling blokes like Saliba where to position.

Good half. Saka really is amazing.
I was wrong, TP is setting up a right back, but i assume that was with the opposition in mind to get the extra attacker on the field. Away from home I’m sure we will play four genuine defenders.
