That takes me back, what could’ve been that season….
I was too young.
It’s a very difficult task to take on. The game has changed so much since then as well. Playing out from the back with your GK, inverted full backs, ball carrying centre halves etc etc.
As good as Arsenal currently are, the reality is we haven’t really won anything as yet. Winning major trophies punctuates eras, to earn their right into these comparisons, and makes conversations like this much easier for me to contemplate. Saliba and Saka yes are the standouts in the current day team, I definitely agree.

Saliba red card just before Liverpool and playing 60 minutes + with 10 men away from home. Just what we needed.
