Didn’t realise at the time that the Timber yellow means he’s suspended for Brighton. Damn. Partey was excellent this morning as the 6. Likely means he’s required at RB then.

Also a free were affected by sickness, Havertz being one of them. Should be back for Brighton.

The draw in isolation is disappointing. Cannot recall seeing a penalty for a head clash. That bench was light on again given the illness and injuries.

In that context to take 4 points in 3 days across two difficult away fixtures to Brentford and then this morning, it’s not too bad at all.

Flu in England, epidemic level in France, likely to get worse

Goes to show how fine the margins are, how many intangibles there are that go into winning a title. Consistently these little things are not going in Arsenal’s favour.

And whilst they won’t concede the title, it’s too early to do that, as this goes on in my head I’m starting to turn attention to the Cup opportunities.

We’re facing a rampant Newcastle in a few days time with a depleted squad so that’s a big challenge. However some silverware this season I believe will be transformative for the club. Champions league top 8 still needs to be sealed and who knows what kind of run we can go on towards the back end of the season with that. Saka out until March/April obviously is something that remains to be seen if we can contend with on multiple fronts.
