Alessio Cerci is an meh option.

He had a good season last year with 13g/12assists in a weak Serie A but he's not going to score 20+ a season.

There are virtually no out and out forwards of any worth (realistically) in Italy atm imo.

Sanchez, Podolski duo strike pair?

That's probably the most likely for tomorrow morning I would've thought. We don't really have many alternatives at the moment.

No word on when Sanogo is back from his hamstring. His injuries always seem to take ages to come back from, like Gibbs.

We're not buying a big name striker. I don't know why people would get their hopes up. This is Wenger remember. In a few months time, we would have Giroud, Walcott, Sanogo, Campbell, Podolksi and Sanchez all capable of playing forward.

Wenger will point to that and say, 'why do I need someone else?'

Don't understand your distaste towards Sanogo Lats. For a guy who has been chucked in the deep end for most of the games he has played quite well and has been unlucky too score. Hell he only has one premier league start to his name otherwise his appearances have come against the likes of Bayern, Liverpool and Everton or in the FA semi and final, in which he created many chances and at the very least was involved.

Therein lies the problem Tom, we don't need someone to 'come good' in the role. We've needed an established, experienced ready made centre forward. Not a raw, injury prone free signing from the French second league.

City have Dzeko, Jovetic, Aguero as their forward options. We've had Giroud, Sanogo, Bendtner.

It's nothing against Sanogo. It's not his fault he's been thrown into the deep to do his apprenticeship against the likes of Bayern Munich. But he simply shouldn't be at Arsenal.

Anyway, watch now as he scores a hat trick tomorrow morning.

Hope he can at least break his 'competitive' scoring duck, confidence would do him wonders imo.

Wilshere to be MOTM flourishing in Ramsey's absense.

3-0 predicting
