Welbeck gets a brace and Sanago banged one is as well, its smooth sailing from here, the league is ours

That is completely unrealistic.
We wouldn't pay his wages to begin with. If we signed him that would give us four forwards, far too many for Wenger. Madrid will also want a fortune. And big money signings don't happen in Jan.
Would you like me to keep going?
Yeah the warchest of 50-60m we have had for the past few years and still haven't reinforced the squad properly, that's the one you're talking about right?
Ozil is on £140,000 a week and is the clubs highest paid player. I believe Sanchez is on £130,000 a week.
Big deals rarely happen in the January window. Big deals at Arsenal are almost an anomaly, let alone in January.
I don't believe I said it was a bad idea, anywhere. I just said it was terribly unrealistic, which it is.
I'm willing to bet a large sum of money we won't see Benzema in an Arsenal shirt come February.Nah, shit will get done. Before last season, our record transfer was Santi Cazorla at something like £16m. Since then, that record has been beaten twice.
Benzema's spot isn't as secure as it used to be. Ancelotti is experimenting with Bale, Ronaldo and now James up front as first choice.
It's not as unrealistic as you think.

Get your head out of the clouds, it's not happening.
Just because it would make sense to sign him means nothing. It made sense to buy defensive cover and a first choice DM but that didn't happen

Its also unrealistic in the sense that we just paid 16m for a striker in Welbeck. That's a very significant acquisition from an Arsenal perspective. Just months later, we're not going to pay another 30m+ for another striker. Especially when Giroud will be back, so will Walcott. Wenger just won't spend up front. There's also Podolski, Campbell and Sanogo in the forward group.
I do hope he buys us the midfielder we've been desperate for in January, but given I've hoped for this for the last 6-7 years, I doubt its happening anytime soon.
