But form for his country is where Henry tends to fall away a bit. Conversely, it significantly enhances the standing of Batistuta. I think at one stage he had about 55 goals from just 75 games for Argentina. Ridiculous.

Do you realise Henry is not merely a goal poacher like some you listed? More than half of his career goals were spectacular.
Not to mention his assist rate was insane for a forward.
What difference does it make if they are a poacher or not? Their role is to score.
A goal is a goal and all of those players scored goals by the bag full. Put them in any team and they'll score.

Van Basten only scored 218 goals in his club career compared to Henry who has scored 283. Henry is a better goalscorer then.

And if Van Basten didn't retire at 28 (he effectively stopped at 26 and couldn't play in 93/94 or 94/95) he would have scored more and probably won another FOTY.
Look I love Henry as much as the next Arsenal supporter and i'd probably have him in whatever team I picked but I can understand why people would pick any of those players I listed above without thinking they are mad for doing so.

I can't believe people are arguing over something so subjective. It is what it is. Some people think Henry is an all time great while others are saying he isn't because so many players are ahead of him. It's such a futile argument to be having.
