So with YoYo looking like a definite to come to the Eagles, where does he fit into our team? Honestly i've never really watched or noticed him play. How many games would he be expected to play next year if we have a fully fit squad? Can he be thrown straight into the midfield?
Highly regarded at the lions, certainly a lot of Brissy posters reckon he has great upside, good heigh, ahtleticism etc...:thumbsu:
Backline somewhere is where he was groomed at the Lions. Not sure about his junior days.

He is a midfielder but was played in the backline and did have some good games negating a few small forwards and also adding some run from defense.

Personally if we are going to get him i hope we play him on a wing. He is a good size at 189cm's and has some pretty good pace.

Put him on a wing or develop him in the midfield. Not 100% sure of his disposal though, looks a bit wonky from the highlight vids I've seen.

Interesting to see what we offer as trade value wise he probably sits between our 2nd and 3rd round draft pick and there are no obvious players we could exchange.

Personaly i would say our 3 round pick if you look at our recent trades of Ebert, Cripps and K Stephens

so he's out of contract, has nominated us and us only, has a question-mark on his kicking action/disposal and is suited to a position we are overloaded in.

as bad as i feel for the lions right now, surely we offer our 3rd round at the most or wait until the PSD.

if we do manage to land yeo early in the trade period i wonder if matt rosa could become a useful piece for another trade (player or pick). he seems to be mentioned every off-season as being open to a trade back east and would have some value as a ready-made player for a team in the premiership window.

(fwiw i actually like rosa as a player and believe he currently offers more than say a sheppard or cripps.)

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but AFL website is showing record holders of Combine results, with Yeo a mere 0.03 secs behind Stephen Hill.

It seems a bit of a joke test, but still, good to know he's agile as well as tall and quick.

Yeo was a midfielder in his colts days at the sharks, very quick, good overhead mark, was more than average in clearance's. Will be a 200 game player and can't believe we might only get a second or third round pick for him ! We played him out of position on more than a dozen games and I reckon with more time he will be a hidden gem. Spewing !!!

We have been through the same situation with guys like Ebert and Stevens. Sadly, market value may not fairly reflect actual worth, however based on current circumstances our third rounder seems about right.

He would likely settle as a rebounding defender with his dash or on the wing.

maybe something like*;
schofield glass waters
hurn emac yeo
Gaff priddis sheppard
shuey darling hill
lecras kennedy cox
Nicnat scooter masten
wellingham, smith, cripps
s: pick 6

*hopefully some changes though, like darling playing off a flank, less priddis etc.
Thanks for writing out the whole team.

I wouldn't have been able to conceive of Yeo playing on a HBF or a wing without seeing the entire 22.

The shorts I saw of him he looked agile
Marked overhead , broke a few lines and guess
What I'm pretty sure he kicked both feet , that's a win
I can't believe the number of AFL players that can't kick both
Feet , yeah I reckon he looked ok
