Geez where was all the Staker love when he played for us? He has played around 120 games and probably played around 5 very good ones, at most! Those who say he is a far superior footballer to Dalziell are delusional. Dalziell had a good and consistent year and performed far better than most of our players. Might have to tell the guy to start saving kittens or find a cure for cancer just to get some love round here!

no, he never said it, nor did the Lions list manager all he said was he wanted to return home, a few sport outlets say we're interested and yes we did meet with him, but he never nominated us.
Your selective use of media reporting is as puzzling as it is annoying.

If Yeo is comin our way maybe Vossie is pushing him and coming as well as an assistant coach , someone mentioned he had spoken to west coast when he was over here a couple of weeks ago

I'd say if Vossy was involved, he'd probably insist that pick 6 and our second-rounder are to be on the table. He's crazy after all ;)

Staker was one of my favorites! Always remember his debut 2 goals from the wing. Had a sweet spot just outside 50 on the right forward flank at Subi that whenever he was running, that ball would sail straight through the middle. If he only had Priddis' consistency.

Hate to break this to you, but Dalziell is rubbish.

Tell the truth, you didn't hate that at all.

Haha! He's a WAFL level footballer who got his chances because we were playing crap. He's part of the problem, in no way anywhere near the solution. Would rather he be delisted straight away but will be kept on as depth.

he may be rubbish but he was far from our worst this year

The fact he was playing goes to show how badly injured and out of form our midfield is. He played the best he could and did help score a few clutch goals v Lions and Crows but if he is still in our best 22 next year we need serious help sorting out the midfield.

He didn't solve anything. He was the sort of honest, but average, veteran player in a bottom side that most bottom sides have. He runs all day but has below average skills, especially under any form of pressure, has no vision (which is dire in an outside player) and makes poor decisions.

His presence doesn't take us forward and stops us putting players in roles in which they could develop into actual AFL level footballers.

As mentioned earlier, he's part of the problem. We had several such players in the Judge era.

I agree that razzle isn't going to help us move back up the ladder and the fact that he wasn't our worst player and at times was one of our more impressive goes to show how far our list has to go til we can have quality guys coming in to cover injuries and poor form.Unfortunately the cupboard is pretty bare.Hopefully this draft/trade period will provide us with some more quality
