Massive difference. Lowering income tax is giving money back for necessities. If a waitress has 30 bucks extra a day, she can purchase her family more food, she can put petrol in her car, she can take her kids out to a movie. NONE of those are impacted by tariffs

Tariffs are a tax on luxury. Your iPhone may cost 100 bucks more, your TV may cost 200 bucks more, your Air Jordans may go from 180 bucks to 220. None of those taxes really make that big of a impact to the prosperity of the country. If you can afford 1800 bucks for a iPhone, 1900 probably wont change much in your life. However if you go to the shops to feed your family and you now have 40 bucks in your pocket instead of 10. That will make a big big difference

San Fransisco is emblematic of the US. Those who have lots and those who are driven to poverty. It's the Ruhr Valley of the 21st century and where all of US GDP growth comes from.

And your impression of SF is driven by the poor people, even though SF is the powerhouse of the US economy, driven by the rich people in Silicon Valley.

Everyone should be free to follow their religion - that's a human right. Everyone should be free to not follow any religion - that's a human right. When a government allows religion to influence its policy, human rights (and science, reason, etc) are at risk. A government should neither be pro or anti-religion. Religion should be something that is for individuals.
