Whats the point?
The point is trump is there for the billionaires, no one else. He's gonna get rid of regulations that are there for a reason, that protect workers and the environment, and make the obscenely rich richer. Plus he's gonna reduce their taxes, that is if they pay any at all.
The point is that trump is a fat prick who doesn't give an eff about the working class, he wins them over with his racist rants and he works for billionaires.

Obviously there has been some some brutal post-mortems.
Maths, stats and graph crew crunching it.
End of of the day Kamala ignored the rank and file and was linked with killing Peanut.
Death blows for the Dems.
She didn't shore up the base. Didn't mention climate change or cost of living.

Taxes are essential for government to work. We are indeed sick and tired of seeing our tax dollars "pissed up against the wall" BUT, is the answer really ending up in thrall to a pack of so-called 'small government' grifters that do nothing, spend nothing, and surrenders our wellbeing to private, for-profit interests all the while bragging about how government surplus increases by the year?

No.

How about we have a government who spends wisely... ON US THE VOTERS? WE are the lifeblood of any Democracy. Our working hours, our taxable income - the nation runs on it. Without the work of we the electorate, the nation dies.

All we want for the sweat of our labour is value for money. A healthcare system that ensures that nobody goes bankrupt worrying about their health. An education system that trains up our future workforce AND integrates them into a dynamic and inclusive society at large. A police force that protects the community and serves us all.

Is that too much to ask?
Careful, with talk like that you'll be labelled a communist.

States rights in the US has been a major, major issue. Dating back to before the Civil war. I forget who said it, but I remember hearing someone describe the US as not one country, but a collection of 50 city states. So true.
It’s not a ****ing state issue, it’s an issue between a woman and her health practitioner.
“Keep your nose out of my girls business or you have a very real problem”.

I dont believe that sorry, Trump has his flaws no doubt about it, but i believe he wants to make a difference.
The two most overrated stupid words ever put together and the cause for more dumb ****ery and blind idiocy our planet has ever had to deal with.
As soon as a person says this, you know straight away what’s coming next……

Yeah the loser just got Jim Crow laws going, after slavery abolished. So yes, the history of America is never a linear ark to better times. Lots of gains were made in the 60s and 70s, civil rights, roe v wade etc. Then the conservatives fight back, so yes the battle goes on.

The only uncharted territory we are in is we have a guy who has refused to accept the results of an election and a party willing to enable him, even more so this time around. First time around you had enough civility neocons who thought democratic norms (aside from voter supression, hanging chads and gerrymandering) were sacrosanct.

The non-loyalists have been purged from the republican party now, you need to take a loyalty oath to Trump to be in the party now.

But yes, the states rights being far greater than say states rights here, where they can set their own minimum wages, taxes, if they have the death penalty or not etc, maybe the saving grace here.

They did, but that can't be pinned on Republicans. They were the anti-slavery party.

Prior to COVID the US unemployment rate was the lowest in 50 years. Wasn't that a good thing for the average person?

Lowest rate under Trump 3.5%

Lowest rate under Biden 3.4%

Note that until COVID unemployment had been decreasing since Oct 2009. To what extend either was responsible for these figures is doubtful.

If Kennett was like Trump he'd have refused to concede in 1999, and come up with every scheme you could think of saying it was rigged, unfair, pressuring swing seats to find votes etc.

That is one huge fundamental difference, amongst others. Kennett was more a Thatcher like neocon.
you mean you dont see similarities in character between the two?
