Fox News does eat a lot of lunches in right wing media - I assume we're still free market kinda guys in this thread yeah? Or are we not so much anymore, now that dear leader has decreed tariffs the way of the future? :tearsofjoy:

The Walz Clan have most likely been burnt by one of Cousin Tim's multiple misstatements. Who would know him better than his family? Maybe one of them organised a meet up in Tiananmen Square or later on in Afghanistan, but cousin Tim never showed. The US voters agreed with his family's assessment.

The real question is, will he ever be seen again? Maybe Harris/Walz 2028 or 2032?

Stokes, Packer and Murdoch collectively own most of the TV stations in Australia.

You must be sick of their Left-wing bias.

Of the remaining stations, (the ABC and SBS) they have a board appointed and are legislatively required to provide an even voice (this is why you see the panel on Q&A being split between conservatives and lefties).

It's also why you don't see a 'leftie' version of Andrew Bolt ranting about current events from a biased and inflammatory position anywhere (including on the ABC).

Nek minute Trump (an elite) appoints oligarchs, elites and (alleged) paedos to his cabinet.

Not sure about musk, he doesn't seem particularly popular. I don't think you will have to worry about him for long. Once he cuts spending and redirects it towards space programs, he will rocket off to mars, never to be heard from again. 🚀🧑‍🚀

The ABC is basically a left leaning greenie commentariat and has been from about when Whitlam came to power and unashamedly replaced the entire board with supporters of the Labor Party. Wasn't Guthrie sacked for not tackling it's bias? Anyway, the only people who can't perceive the ABC's bias are people who share it's worldview.

Its the only station in Australia that is legislatively bound to be fair to all political parties.

Every panel on the show literally has conservatives on it (which is a legal requirement).

Which show on the ABC do you assert is 'leftist propaganda'? Name one.

The head of the US Health Department is an administrative position not necessarily one occupied by a medical or scientific expert. For example, the current Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services got a BA in Economics then a law qualification.

I think vaccines will be well down Kennedy's list of priorities. He'll be more concerned with things like the FDA being partially funded by Pharma, and the possible corruption that that brings. Same as health regulators who have oversight on drugs trials stepping down then soon after getting exec roles for the same companies that are marketing the drugs.

He has talked about not allowing prescription drugs to be advertised - the US is one of the few countries that allows it. It comprises media impartiality.

The Make America Healthy Again campaign is mostly about tackling the obesity epidemic which in turn gives people chronic health problems that require treatment for life. It's a complex problem but a good start would be addressing the issue of the food industry making people addicted to high carb, processed food.

He's appointing a man who thinks vaccines cause Autism in kids to be the bloke in charge of Americas Vaccination program for kids.

It's not that he lacks credentials. It's that he's manifestly unfit for the role.

It's like making an alleged Sex Trafficker your Attorney General.

Which he's also done.

At least Musk and Ramaswamy know a thing or two about economics and making money, so they're not totally insane appointments (even if it's blatantly obvious both men will simply use the role to make their own lives easier, give themselves tax cuts, deregulate the businesses they operate in, and make it easier for them to fire people).
