Knowingly saying something that isn't true, so if JW knew his house was fine but pretended it wasn't, then that would be a lie.

The situation is worse not better. Ted Cruz was in US, nearby and on a holiday. Davis was using working hours to go on a trip that had zero to do with her constituency for her own personal experience and did so while supposedly working.

Your argument in other words isn’t helping. Her being in Ghana shows a greater lack of care for her constituency than what Ted Cruz did. Ted Cruz didn’t use working time to go on a personal trip which had nothing to do with his responsibilities

It's the same problem with some virtue signaler in New York saying that the US should ban cars, and that people in Vermont should just walk or use public transport.
It's a complete lack of awareness of location based privileges.

Who cares how the result occurred ffs. The result is all that matters. He contributes less carbon foot print then basically all of us so accept the truth as opposed to trying to excuse it

Yes - and I have not seen anyone ask "How often are those warnings given?" Or "How often do those warnings result in massive bushfires that destroy thousands of homes?"

One thing people have been saying is how unexpected this event was during their winter.

Another thing people have been saying since time immemorial is "Why should I listen to meteorologists?" Or "What are government departments good for but wasting money and tying everyone up in useless rules?"

Now they are the point of truth that a callous unfeeling lefty politician ignored resulting in death and destruction? Come on, man.

In any case, this is not a thread for me. I just dropped this post in here to tie up my arguments. Thank you for allowing me the privilege.
 
Life can be fairly simple sometimes. If we held an election for her spot she would lose in a landslide. Perhaps if someone would easily lose their job, it probably means they didn’t do it very well

The here and there argument won’t stop the fact she is no longer supported in her constituency. It also won’t stop the fact that in LA she is getting the blame for this.

Now you're saying this thread isnt for you. If it's not for you don't insert yourself into it like some standover man then run away when it doesn't go the way you'd hoped.

It's always about the implication, not the application.
