The institution of international law exists to be a velvet glove, priding itself on delivering fairness and justice without physical violence - but it does require it in order to get their hands on and maintain control of individuals they want to deliver justice to.

That's their big hurdle. The whole system exists so that the six foot four monsters with machine guns don't get sent to kill the aristocrats by their political enemies, and the people don't drag those same aristocrats into the street and string them up, but they can't have that person in the stands without sending out the monsters to get them, encouraging the other monsters to try and retrieve them.

The machine will bring the threat of violence to you to demand your compliance, but is terrified of your supporters bringing it back against them.

Such is the reality of justice and force. Ultimately people get killed trying to bring someone to justice for murder.
 
These systems of justice are about talking to the people because those in power and influence are rightfully terrified of a motivated mob.

It's why those who seek to be a tyrant tend to want to disarm the population.

Ever since the cross bow was invented, the aristocracy has been afraid of the regular person.

As soon as people believe the institutions of justice, that spend more time talking than doing, are useless means for people to hold power over them - the people will turf them out.

Consider the UN and even our own government "condemning in the strongest possible terms" over and over.

It's just so you don't see how powerless they really are.

Especially when you actually can do more then condemn... but that also means hurting your own economy

Its a situation. Pride/beliefs or money. They always choose money. You can ask Blackout Bowen/Albo and them sending China coal by the shipload despite telling everyone else to stop using coal...

Mine went the other way. Seeing much more LW stuff when it was 100% RW previously. Im getting a ton of Pocock stuff for example despite never reading his previous stuff

I'm not on there much but when I became a bit more interested the last couple of months, noticed a difference and admit I went down some rabbit holes in the UK, coming out of them a bit changed.

Not really in that I do disagree with a ton of Trumps policies. When they rant about transgender people in sport, i think its absurd. Who gives a crap

Im not on Twitter that much. Maybe 5 mins a day. Im on Facebook 0 minutes a day and Tiktok 0 minutes a day. Only social media i really use properly is here and its cos I want a diverse opinion and not a echo chamber.... which is sadly what some places here became

The US just elected a sex criminal. He tried to appoint a whole bunch of other sex criminals to important government positions.

Not that it's an either/or scenario.

Many of the J6ers were sentenced for assaulting police, their T shirts point to character but it was the criminal activity the courts acted upon.

This has all played out in a court in front of judge and his very own defence attorney so how could it be a fake tiktok plot?

Sex against minors and not only wanting them out of jail but wanting them to get free money, free healthcare and free accomodation is a much worse situation then the above....

Its abhorent to compare them even.

bonbons is a very negative person. I have tried to encourage him to adopt a positive mindset, but he won’t have a bar of it.

The great deportation has begun in earnest.

Republicans don’t want to exploit illegals to work as essentially slave labour - democrats are fine with this and even fought a bloody civil war to keep their slaves.

Therefore, the right and proper course of action is to return illegals to their country of origin and reunite them with their loved ones back home.
