Of all the videos showing their salute and the salutes from other Neo Nazis in other countries, it's the Nazi Blood Tribe version that the acolytes settled on comparing Musk's gesture to. If you compare WWII Nazi salutes to it or any of the salutes of virtually all Neo Nazi organisations, his gesture doesn't compare.

I am pleased you brought this up. Hitler himself had two Nazi salutes. The full salute and a more half-hearted one sometimes called the half salute or return salute. When Tim Walz walked out on stage with Kamala in Pennsylvania his gesture started out like Leon's and ended up like this half salute. Really wish some RW acolyte would do a side by side GIF of that and Hitler's half salute, similar to what the left have done with Leon.
