....., and extra weight when needing to run 15km does make it harder to cover the ground. How many 10km runners do you see with any sort of skinfold?

...... But what we can probably agree on is that excess body fat is not advantageous to AFL.

We're on the same wavelength. I think people took my post the wrong way. I was merely pointing out that in the camp such as this to me he is carrying at least 1-2kg for an elite sportsman he is and doubt he could get any kind of PB's.... or if he did, then he'd have even better results if he wasn't carrying the extra load.

I love Swanny. I love the way he goes about it. I love effort his on the field, I love he can change a game...... love, love love everything. Would shredding the extra weight make Swanny a better player - of course not!! But seeing the other mids so cut I think it's fair to question his prep for the camp.

Maybe a reminder picture how Swanny carried himself.....?

A few years back... compare Swanny and Harry both bang on yeah?

It's mid december FFS, what is it, the 2nd day of the pre season camp? It's not like Swan has pulled a Shannon Cox and come back looking like Jarman!

He would have had skin fold/weight/aerobic capacity levels that he would be expected to meet when returning to training. If he hadn't of met those you can bet we'd know about it! He'd be part of the "fat club" that runs at the start of every year for players who came back outside the levels the club had set.

Swan's body isn't the same shape as Beams/Ball/Pendles, they have the typical V shape profile and need to be cut to play at their best. Swan is a more solid straight build with immense core strength.

You can bet by the early rounds of the season that Swan will have more definition but he'll never have the same shape as the other guys.

I would love to see Swanny shredding the weight off!

I wish we were still in Flagstaff, at least this crappy song wouldn't be running through my mind.

Arrrggghhhhh!!!!

You UTTER bastard! Worse song ever made, thanks for the brain worm.

It's the type of song you have looping during a delirium.
LOL sorry Spiceman, I have successfully transferred the worm.:p

It's so bad you wish for the days of Milli Vanilli.

No youtube vid, that would be cruel & unusual punishment.:D

Must not click, must not click, ahh **** it...

Well that was terrible, no way that's getting stuck in my head.

Swanny is fine. He has always had a barrel chested look to him and never really had definition. Takes nothing away from his ability.

Good to see that Broomy is getting along well with his fellow SA boys, given Grundy and Kennedy are usually joined at the hip.
