Great to see Tim Slade getting the second seat at Supercheap. Great young bloke has worked hard to get to this level hope he has a great year.

also have been told that Kelly Racing's factory is unbelievable worth 3million I think it was and puts HRT's facilities to shame. Also they are have bought a signwriting printer to sticker their own cars and trucks as was cheaper than contracting the work out.

heaps of hrt fans now having kelly racing as there n.o 1 team as there fed up with tom.by years end you will probably find kelly racing as the most popular team in v8s.

Be interesting to see how they go. Not short on cash, and having Todd means they'll probably find the right setup pretty quickly.

SHOCK NEWS !!!
Tander will drive a Ford this year

* Don't worry HRT fans,it's Mrs Tander driving a Ford for Paul Cruickshank Racing at Phillip Island and Bathurst;)

I can't imagine just what will happen if they take each other out.....

Did Marshall get the old Morton Licence for the number 77 or is he leasing second Britek. Or is that PCR leasing Britek for the second car???

That's what has me confused.I thought Morton had the #77,but Marshall purchased the 2nd Britek licence from last year.Maybe he purchased the Morton licence.

Licence changes
#10 Dumbrell - purchased PWR licence
#24 Reynolds - purchased ex-Walden licence
#77 Marshall - purchased Morton licence
#333 Patrizi - leasing 2nd Britek licence

Also Walkinshaw Racing will be
Autobarn Racing - #10 - Dumbrell
and
Bundaberg Red Racing - #24 - Reynolds

David John TKR Bankrupt?? Any one shed any light on the situation

A press release by TKR
Press Release 27th February 2009
TEAM KIWI RACING NOT BANKRUPT
Business as usual at TKR.
Team Kiwi's accountant Mike McDonald has made it very clear that Team Kiwi Racing of which Mr David John remains the sole shareholder of is not Bankrupt.
"TKR has enough assets to pay all of it's liabilities in it's own right". said Mr McDonald.
Mr John who is a personal guarantor for an ANZ/National loan to TKR was yesterday personally made bankrupt by the ANZ/National bank after ANZ/National decided not to renew the facility that TKR was in negotiations with them to settle the debt.
TKR and Mr John believed they had come to an arrangement on the 12th February 2009 with ANZ/National that saw TKR start the process of selling assets that were no longer required for the coming 2009 V8 Supercar Championship season to pay out the ANZ/National loan in full.
Mr John was surprised that ANZ/National had proceeded to bankrupt him personally for a loan owed by Team Kiwi Racing Ltd when Team Kiwi racing could very easily have paid the debt itself and that was who the loan was for.
The ridiculous point in all of this is that the same process Mr John was following will now be done so by the official assignee.

As long as he has significantly more talent than Wayne Gardiner, who was the perfect reason why this probably shouldn't happen.

Only "driving in the enduros" is a bit misleading. Phillip Island and Mount Panorama are very difficult tracks for talented & experienced drivers in a V8 Supercar, never mind a bloke with zero 4 wheel racing experience.

Can you name another motorcycle racer who successfully made a post retirement transition to car racing? Please do not even consider using Wayne Gardiner:eek:.

Johnny Ceccotto, John Surtees, Mike Hailwood to name a few more.

Never heard of these, were these blokes elite in both forms of racing at international level?

John Surtees is the first and so far only man to win a world championship on 2 wheels and in Formula 1 in 1964, havent even heard of him ??. Hailwood was an exceedingly good bike rider who had a pretty good 4 wheel career even in F1.
