Interesting that OH played on the second lowest points of any premiership team in Victoria. (25). Only 2 players played in points. However ridiculous that a guy who plays everywhere James Magner can be a 1 pointer. He played for 4 different clubs last year.

Was he a school attendee? or even worth mentioning the fact he is 37 and played AFL over ten years ago lol

Half of premier have played as a professional footballer at some stage. A lot of blokes get paid to play VFL and when they get dropped they play Ammos for free the next week. What’s the difference?
But if he played at 4 different clubs it's wrong

I agree with you but it's within the rules. Can play multiple clubs over three seasons and still come back to "home" club.
Ask Ivanhoe, Scott Selwood(an existed Ivanhoe player) played one game before the season started down in Tasmania. Got paid. Ammo’s refused his permit to play.

Magner plays for 4 different teams in one year and gets reinstated. Seems odd. This is not a sledge on OH or Magner. He is still a very valuable asset.

Consistency is what’s required. Maybe this is why we are losing some of the non schoolboy teams.

Just saying.

Surely Coburg would be far more interested in holding finals with bar sales.

All about the bar isn't it.

The reality is Coburg is a member club of the VAFA where it is not a member club of the EDFL. That's the difference. The EDFL already stage finals at Keilor, Greenvale and Highgate (Craigieburn).

Also look at locations of teams in Division 1 and Division 2.

Let's say UHS-VU, Brunswick, Therry Penola and Preston make the Division 1 finals next year. Coburg makes a lot of sense in terms of getting crowds. Instead of depositing them at Whitefriars or Sandringham....

It was a disappointing result for our club at the time, but we move on and Scooter is still involved thankfully helping with some coaching as he is hanging up the boots (after playing a couple of games next year with his cousin) and has committed to supporting our growth moving forward.

In chatting with some very snr people in the VAFA are none too happy with CEO! And his form around Scott Selwood was very poor (IMO)
With all the ongoing board issues, are they ever going to get it sorted out?

Ivanhoe are gone to another comp, so is Selwood, so move on.

Jason Reddick has been fabulous and is very well liked by my SKOB brethren, we couldn’t speak highly enough of him.

In Jason we trust.

Finally we agree on something - we have move comps and have moved on - trust me on that.

As for the board - well above my pay grade. Good luck to all.

Div 2 club Elsternwick had 42 pts !
Old Scotch 37
Old Carey 30
As a man with a lot of wicks mates, would love the VAFA to bring in a father/son/daughter 1 pointer or discount or something similar for the community clubs.

Wicks had a bunch of boys who have come down as their dads are past players and they’re coming in as 3-4 pointers as they were under 19s at de la’s/caulfields etc then moved on when they hit senior age.

I’ve heard it all now, just what the VAFA needs, more administration tasks.

If you recruit reserves players or U19's from other clubs you get the points that go with them.

Easy to say for those school boy clubs. Many district clubs don’t have a junior feed.
Easy to say . Why wouldn't the Wicks tap into Elwood High etc

If they don't have any kind of feeder program they will inevitably die. Its important and vafa should be pushing them to try and get one or something similar up, easier said then done i know but not many players are playing into their 30's anymore. Numbers can fall off very quickly.
