Not bad at all Seagull

West is one of the more underated players in the comp, along with Pallozzi.

And does anybody know when the B&F night is? Could be a close contest.

I've got my money on Hondromatidis from OI to win the League B and F aswell... Agree too with you sandman West will feature highly in Bentleigh's BnF along with Trent McINTYRE!

Dearerst Rardo & TBP,

If you have a problem with seagull's..u tell me to my face, and not behind my back. And to Rardo, if u cant deal with the criticism being dished out by Mr. Brown and LFK, don't talk yourself up, because honestly, not many people, except for maybe TBP and Tootel, care about what u have to say!

The SeaGULL

Rardo - I was refering to your female pulling abilitys...

But now you mention it, i guess your football style could be likened to a seagull aswell (sitting out wide, waiting for recieves...). ha!

This weeks game:

Ormond v OE

Not going to predict a winner, as i simply find it to hard. I would have them at $1.85 each.

OE have a lot to play for, going out in straight sets is a shocking feeling, just ask Oakleigh from last year. OE will certaintly want another crack a OI. From last week im not sure if OE have any players in, they will just have to find a way to kick goals. They must prove that they can match it with the big boys in this section. Not really sure who their star players are, Benson is important, and mitch williams got best on last week, and will need to be good again this week.

Ormond have a fairly even team across the board, their engine room and half backs are their strength. Tehennepe is the general, Rodwell is the big name, Wardley is very underrated across half back, and they are generally a very honest and hard at it team. Have beaten OI when at full strength this year, and have had alot of players who have played senior footy and have experienced this sort of intensity. Lack is the wildcard up forward.

Preliminary Final: Essendon v Ormond

This should be great match out at the snake pit on saturday in which the winner gets the chance at a grand final and taking home the holy grail in September glory.

Essendon - had a rude awakening to finals football last weekend at the hands of a polished Ivanhoe outfit. However, something suggests the boys have settled the nerves and are ready to take on Ormond, which they have beaten twice both confortably. Benson, Williams, Cerantonio, Trevakis, Rogers, Turner, Samo, Jones, Saunders and Drysdale will all need to be checked tightly by their respective opponents if Ormond are to take the points.

Ormond - had a good win against Oakleigh last week but as I've maintained all season, Oakleigh were merely making up the numbers this season. Te Hennepe will be lively, Rodwell important and Keane creative. However, Lack is the key and if he's well held Ormond might struggle in a fast paced match.

Prediction: A tight affair with both teams containing solid players which should make for a physical game. However, Essendon have a little more run and will win by 4 goals.

Anyone know the 'Official' U/19 (3) team... does our mate J. Aitken do this?

Don't think he knows enough about the comp to make an 'Official Team', but none the less it would be good to see something official. Fingers crossed for next weeks VAFA Record......

this weeks game should be massive... im stickin with wat i said all along n going with ormond.. much tho, but honestly who ever wins... can either of them knock o old ivenhoe next week????

as for bentleighs b&f friedman wont win it, didnt play enuf games... top 2 will be McItire followed by west!

OE out in straight sets! after all the talk on this forum from OE boys over-hyping there team i think majority of the league is pretty happy with an Ormond V Ivanhoe grand final. It could be said that Ormond wasn't as good as OE throughout the year, and this would be hard to dissagree with. However the 'monders have hit their peak at the perfect time of the year, with all there big guns leading the way.

So the grand final story is set.... The best team of the year lost just one game, to who else but Ormond! This shows that Ormond are capable of beating the Ivanhoe boys and should make for a great game to cap off the year.

- So who are the keys to the match? any over-rated players?
- whos more physical?
- injuries for either side?
- Tips? who will be best on? who will kick most goals etc.

Should be a huge game on Sunday as the teams seem to match up on each other very well.. Just a week away!!

OE in straight sets... most predicted it and it has happened. Congratulations on a good season though, football is a cut throat game and to only lose 4 game throughout the normal season is a great effort. Probably just didnt have the players to win finals matches this season though. Any last words from knight rider, rardo, pineapple, ect. How did it happen? What happened in the last Q (going on the scores on the website it was 2 goals to 7).

What a cracker it is going to be this Sunday. OI having only lost the 1 and rolling OE easily in the first final come up against the team who are the only to knock them off this year. Ormond have been the wildcard all year, proving their worth in the first two finals games.

To answer your questions Murphy:

Key players:
Ormond:
Wardley
Rodwell
Lack

Old Ivanhoe:
Delmonte
Greer
Weston

Wont give a tip/best on yet, will give that later in the week.

Have any teams had their Best and Fairests yet? Predictions?
