Can we just package up our bottom 10 and ship them somewhere and get back our first and 2nd round picks that we should never have traded. Seems about parity, the bottom 10 are absolutely useless

You could tell in the first few minutes that we were listless and not switched on .I said to the missus that we weren't going to win .No pressure, poor decision making, appalling at ground level ,falling over , couldn't stick tackles, midfield were horrible,Jackson was no good in the ruck.I know we are young but that was an unacceptable performance.The game style seemed really off .We have players with pace but you wouldn't think so watching that .I'm really on the fence with JL ,I want him to succeed but I'm starting to doubt that he has the goods.This is perhaps the kindest vent I've ever done

I'mma gonna have ta vent about vents that aren't really proper vent quality vents to qualify for this thread, if the level of your venting doesn't improve and get more genuinely properly intentionally directly vengeful and ventful, I might have to seek a 24 hour threadban...

Peel players look good in WAFL. Too many in AFL won’t make the club good.

Erasmus didn’t play, and that’s the crap the midfield put up. 16-6 centre clearances to GWS. Absolutely bullied with a midfield of JOM, Serong, Brayshaw and at times FYfe. That’s beyond embarrassing.
Too Many players that can play other positions or adapt.

Jackson as number 1 ruck has significantly failed.

The forward line has been an absolute joke. Expecting goals from that group is woeful.
At one time it was Fyfe, Sturt, Schulz, Banfield, Amiss and Treacy. How do you expect that to compete.

Who would that be ?
Young is very close to that level with the kicking and speed he has lacked this season.
Clark has been woeful.
Ryan at times is beaten easily one on one.

Bottom 10 at the start of the season looks different to what it is now

We are 8 years into a rebuild. Our midfield is vanilla, our forward line one natural forward under 30, and Walters is our classiest player.
And we have traded away at least top 25 draft picks.

The list is not now the problem and has not been the problem for at least two years.

It is our crud selection policy, bad game preparation, appalling first quarters, failure to adjust game plan during games, and pathetic favouritisim to certain players that is the issue. List is actually potentially almost as good as we've ever had in our history, certainly in terms of a locked in, value for money, really committed core group of young players.

They just need a proper coach who prepares them and disciplines them properly instead of a best mate and past chess player wannabe.

I recruitment of shit experienced players or over paying for players during a rebuild is so annoying.

This is by far my biggest complaint.
Lobb, Hogan, Clark, Wilson, kersten, Matera were all recruits who have pushed us further away from a flag.

Omeara and Jackson are too early to call but I think they will push us away from a flag as well.

JOM was a recruit that should have been a cheap depth only backup, instead he keeps getting selected every game (at least when not hurt or suspended) - same as Banfield and Hughes, neither of whom should be anything but third string depth.

The problem isn't the list, it is the way we are using the list, the abysmal failure to coach multiple gameplans for different opponents, and the now well, well, well proven failure of JLo to play first quarters or get the team to score more than 1 goal in many, many quarters of football. Being a solid defense focused coach is one thing, producing quarter after quarter after quarter where we score one goal or less is an abysmal failure.

If you check my posts you'll see I agree we paid too much for Jackson - but that said he is actually way better than I ever thought he could be, and (if used properly in midfield only roles) can be just an amazing player for us.

In the end Clark didn't actually cost us any real actual picks, and arguably we shafted Geelong in terms of the value we got for him.
