To me, it signifies Jackson is coming and will soak up alot of the salary cap.

Can understand Tucker wanting to go for opportunity, Lobb is and always has been under the thumb and money hungry.

Maybe if we played them (Logue) in his best position down back and paid him an Acres what they are worth and not get seduced into paying a hybrid ruck to come homeba fortune based on a couple of good games then this situation wouldn't happen.

Pavlich coming out and saying we won't pay to much for Acres as we don't want to get seduced by talent and then they want to pay Jackson based on potential talent 900k a year.

Luke Jackson turned a grand final on its head and helped Melbourne break a premiership drought.

He can play and dominate in the ruck and has shown a capacity to replicate/beat the performance of Lobb in the front half, it's an ultimate no-brainer.

Just the cost picks wise to sort out.

Did anyone else notice Lobb tear English apart in the 3rd quarter and early 4th quarter of our elimination final. I sure as hell did from row 3. It seems English is prone to lapses. I think they know he’s not good for a while match and needs a very good backup ruck, hence chasing Lobb. I’m starting to think any ruck would have ripped him during that 3rd quarter in the GF.

A Bulldogs supporter on the soccer board reckons English should be a 2nd ruck and instead of going for Lobb they should look at someone else to be their number one ruckman.

How? A KPD that had to swing forward to get a game? A wing with his best career year finishing a contract? A midfielder that isn't best 22 and is contracted? A KPF/Ruck that tried to go last year and is contracted?

Logue and Acres are not worth what they are asking to Freo. It's pretty simple and good list management.

Yeah there really is some bed wetting going on.
 
So in the past week Freo have:
  • Been knocked out of AFL finals;
  • Knocked my Souths out of WAFL finals;
  • Had a club legend play his last game;
  • Had half a dozen players either entertain or actively seek new homes;
  • Had an assistant coach leave;
  • Had rumours of the footy ops boss leave;
  • Had players wanting to return to WA but not categorically say they want to come to us.
  • EDIT: forgot to add - how the above have given sh*ttruck 'journalists' fuel for their doomshtick.
I know there's silver linings to much of this, but it just leaves my oversized novelty Flagmantle 2022 mug half empty.

The silver linings are is that we still have 35 players left but don’t leave it too long as they are going quick!!
