Said Jackson was shit, was shit then preceded to trade for him.
All the great trades prior to this, evaporated.

No full forward of any kind. Since 1995 to 1998. Then 2002 to current. Modra has been the only good key forward of any kind at Fremantle.

Pavlich had to go through 3 positional changes to be a key forward- because the team sucked.
Same old, same old.

I don't think I have seen a post match response where so many loyal long time posters have felt like walking away. I think after previously five years of shit we all had high hopes for this year after last season. We hoped last week was a blip but this week is confirming our fears. Its draining especially when you have been here so many times before.

Freo fans, in particular most on this forum need to get a grip. I said during the week that this game was 50/50 and north under Clarko will be much improved. it got alot of negative reactions. i said after saints game that we are in real trouble to which most here said "its week 1!!!"

this is like a bad dream over and over again. i cant keep doing this. i think there is a systemic issue within the club and we are doomed to fail regardless.

For a while I’ve felt like the club has been treading water and JLO is squandering our future. The team dynamic is off even from last year. The team looked slow and always away from the opposition. Chipping it around, dropping marks and generally playing poor footy. I cannot see us winning many games if this is what they dish up every week.

AFL coming out today and doubling down that the siren went before the ball was out of bounds when just one replay made it very obvious that the ball was out before the siren went. Mfs were looking at the countdown clock istfg.

Bad enough screwing ourselves over but gotta love the AFL blatantly cheating and then refusing to take any accountability for their mistakes.

Pearce: ‘We’re hurting with you’

Alex Pearce says he understands exactly how the Fremantle fans will be feeling

With all due respect Alex you couldn’t possibly know how a day one supporter of this club feels. You get paid to do what you do and can bugger off to Tassie if you want, if and when they get a team. We can’t, we live with this crap nearly every year of the club’s existence.
The first year was exciting, 2006 was surprisingly good, 2010 was encouraging, 2012 and 13 were fun, 2014 was kind of good, we were winning but not pretty and 2022 was good. I’ve probably missed a few moments there, and you may not entirely agree with this summary but you get my point.
I thought at the end of last year we could trust this group and allowed myself to get excited over the summer. What now?

This one is very telling because North are chronically, pathologically bad but somehow we let ourselves be badder .
This one f*n hurts 😠

Liam Henry !!

Does not have a football brain. Does not have football instinct. Does not have the hardness for AFL.

No apology, I’ve given Liam time to deliver, no more glimpses of what you could be, this is the big league, no room for what could of been, time for someone else to deliver, come on down MJ.

I said when Clarkson was appointed North coach that if North win their next flag before we win our 1st, that I'm done with this club.
I absolutely stand by that more than ever now.
We are a sh!t club. There's no argument about that. We are North/Saints/GC levels of irrelevance. We'll have our moments in the sun like Melbourne and WB, but ultimately we will go back to this.
The club making its 'sustained success' statement concerned me. We don't need statements, we need action. Last time we did this was around 2014. We were the worst team in the comp 2 years later.
I'm OK with blindly pushing on with my support for the club for now, I've invested too much not to. But North winning a flag before us is my line in the sand.
I'll go back and support local footy.

To be fair I think quite a few of our team don’t have a football brain
Would be interesting to do a footy IQ test and see where we stand

The only ones I can say play the game smartly and not reactively are :

Young
Cox
Aish
Clarke
Chappy ( sometimes)
Brayshaw ( sometimes )

I can't help but feel like there may be a time when we win a flag and by then there will be thousands of Freo supporters who have given up and will get little joy out of it .I feel like I'd be an old man off camping somewhere and someone will say ( Did you see that Freo won a a flag) and my answer will be ( oh did they ,that's nice)turns out Mathew Pavliches great grand son is a decent coach

Time to vent.

Being an interstate fan/member is a tough gig normally, but the last week has rubbed it in. Hasn’t been one big thing, but death by a thousand cuts.

There’s been the usual things the club gives WA fans/members but nobody else, such as getting an email for competitions that are only open for WA members. There was the copping abuse from opposition supporters even though you sit in the away fan section, which is the ‘highlight’ of a game day experience that is explicitly not for you.

Yes there was the Melbourne members pre-game function, which I received an email for that said “tickets are almost gone” and best I could get was to go on a waiting list and heard nothing more. I guess members in regional Victoria are lower on the food chain than Melbourne members?

During the week there was a lot of “we’re looking forward to playing in front of our home fans”, couldn’t see anyone saying “Looking forward to playing in front of our away fans”. And then you hear the captain say “we’re hurting with you” after a home defeat. Is that a platitude reserved for home fans as well?

They’re all little things, but this is a venting thread so I’m venting.

Moral of the rant is it’s tough being a perennial away fan, and I feel the need to give a voice to an often ignored minority of the fan base.

Vent over.

You should tag the club bigfooty account that was created for the Lachie Q&A into this post, they need to read it.

Completely agree. This forum rife with an attitude of denial.

I say 28 years of failure which I continue to standby and resent nuffies that remind me of the gf or a year here and there when we were good. Overall we've been a massive disappointment with no signs of learning from our mistakes. ONE ****ING REAL FULL FORWARD IN 28 YEARS!!!
