I'm convinced the real problem is our midfield. They haven't looked like being genuinely on top at any point against North, St Kilda or Adelaide. Was Mundy that big a piece?

100% agree. When Peel forwards were having a tough time yesterday they blamed the delivery . Can say the delivery this year has also been atrocious, but everyone seems to blame the forwards. I see the lack of winning the contested ball and slow movement out of the backline is contributing factor.

Midfield has changed formation/structure with Corey. Getting killed both ways.
JOM isn’t close to a straight swap for Mundy. He’s slow and lacks agility.
Actually JOM is a direct swap for Mundy in this regard. Mundy was slow and lacked agility too. Unlike JOM though his kicking was elite.
It was a great opportunity to speed up the midfield but we went for a slow mid instead. I was more than comfortable with Erasmus or Johnson stepping in for Mundy tbh.
Not only have we recruited a sh** player, we’ve also given Hawthorn an AFL standard ruck essentially for free.
Everybody jumped on board last week when we beat the toasters, but now those facts which a lot of supporters disputed, that the eagles had 1/2 a team out there in the second 1/2 but were still outplaying us being one man down until they run out of puff and we ran over the top of them.
They looked to be the better team until then. Wait until the gun teams play us, its going to get really ugly.

Yep, getting absolutely pantsed. JOM out for Johnson. Brayshaw is carrying something, I can't believe he's gone backwards like this for no reason, his disposal is really poor. Give him a rest and bring in Brodie against Gold Coast. Find a spot for Erasmus while we're at it for feks sake.
Mundy at least broke tackles and delivered laced out kicks. JOM is woeful in that regard.
Back Brodie in and steady. Add in Johnson and Switkowski rotating through.
Mundy was also big and strong. He would swat JOM away like a fly (big guns look good at the beach, but at his height he is still small for an AFL midfielder).

After good games last week, Sonny and Switta were poor. JOM wasn't great. Willo was down.Drizzy did nothing before being subbed.
Enough has been said of Pearce and Henry's games so no further comment. Backline joined the mids and forwards in being crap today.
Coaching staff seems to be struggling just a bit.

We have flipped 180' in 1 off-season.
Lost a chunk of quality (yes blakers and slob were part of our wins) and logue who was heart and soul.
The other couple that left were still part of the team, we gave everyone away for **** all.
Lost Mundy..
The spiritual leader and campaigner could kick.
Brought in hawthornes rubbish and put him straight into the leadership group.
Persisting with Bb, tabs and Hugh's ??

And that shit spreads.
