hey where do you go for such a thing? how much can a share set you back?
Shares can be as little or as much as you want to spend. I've bought in on a few now. Generally low cost. Lease shares make it cheap to get in to, then the actual owner takes a percentage of the winnings as their payment for the share. Training fees once in for 5% is between $150-200 per month. some trainers even offer free shares just as long as you pay the training fees. Bloodstock.con.au is one place that many horses get advertised either as a whole or on a share basis. Otherwise speak to any trainer they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Edit: this one is on a lease I paid $500 for a 5% 2 season share.

Very very off topic, anyone with an interest in horse racing, I bought my wife a share in a horse for mothers day. Has its first start today at Donald Vic. Race 1 @ 12:30 number 5 American summer. Lots of unraced untrialled horses in the race, 2 Weir horses but should be right in it. Currently paying $11.
All American fillies go alright. If she's half as good as Yankee Rose, you'll be flying. Good luck mate. I'm having a small wager

Had a night out in Melbourne on Saturday night and ran into Jack Scrimshaw at a nightclub, would of been the only person in the place that wasnt mates with him who recognized who he was. Had a good chat to him (pretty pissed though). Nice kid, very down to earth. pushing really hard to get a senior game in this last half of the year. Its good knowing we have drafted kids who are have good personality are able to just chat to whoever
Also his stated height of 193 is a little bit short i reckon, im 187 and he had a good 7 or 8 cms on me

Yeah, was happy with the run on the whole. After missing the start was gaining ground on most till the run on the rails closed. If she pulls us as well as she seems she'll go again in two weeks.
She had her head to the side and raced a bit green. She did everything wrong and no luck today, but Mrs Nutstar will have some fun with her. Hit the line well.

Don't have the link but Fox Sports have done their ladder predictions. We have the 3rd easiest draw in the comp but the twats have us winning 2 of our last 10. We are inconsistent but that's a bit over the top. Also had the Tigers 4th, Dogs 5th and Carlton winning one more game for the year as well as GWS not losing a game. Fox Sports have no clue at all, it's like someone who hasn't watched a game in his life has done it. Terrible stuff

They probably took into account us having lost to 15th, 16th and 18th already!

I'm writing this as we lament today's loss

Just want to say gee I wish I signed up to this a few years ago

Lamenting and doing a post game whinge with u fellow fanatics is much healthier than moping about the house, kicking the dog and then bickering with the Mrs.

This is a great site.

PS I'm listening to SEN and the announcer (replacing Mark Fine) is referring to us over and over as "a nothing club".

Fine is a nothing journalist
We represent a city of 700,000 people
Southern media love to sink the slipper into us
It's easy and gets the lowbrow Mexicans foaming

Fine has a huge chip on his shoulder about GWS being the AFL Pet Club.
I do enjoy when he goes on a rant about that.
However he has no care for us at all. He is totally about St Kilda winning a Premiership.

For those that took an interest last start, my wife's horse 'American Summer' is having its second start tomorrow over 1100m in race 2 at Ballarat. 1:30est. Should challenge and hopefully place. There is one horse that I've got to assume will push her and will go in clear favourite that being Captivator. Currently American summer is paying 8.50 fixed odds and I'd assume will come in a little come morning. The extra 100m should help her.

Put 30 on her each way, good luck mate!

I sometimes think how sad it is that of the 2010/11 team that was supposed to deliver rivers of gold in terms of premierships only Swallow Lynch and May made it.I know the jury may be out on Sam Day and Rory T to a certain extent but really.
Where's the heat on Clayton and Ashcroft

Sign me up for getting rid of Ashcroft. I'd like him to be replaced by Rocket.

Keep ya eyes out for the Geelong boys out and about on the Gold Coast looks like they are staying in Broadbeach. They are up here all week preparing for the Lions game at the Gabba on Saturday night
