l think they at the very least need to offer us supporters and the people who bought memberships an offical apology. Refund for all the memberships would be good but l doubt that would happen.

Look, there are no options here, we must fight, and believe and belong, and pay $1000 a year for family membership. You might think things are bad now buddy but have you even considered a Sunday twilight game against Port in two weeks time!? Get real, things are only going to get worse before they get better and if you didn't see that coming 14 years ago then you have no footy knowledge at all.

Really?, that certainly isn't going to happen. When they start playing football then they will get memberships. I actually think there will be a severe decline in memberships next year if they continue like this.

It starts from the top mate, the coach gets the players respect, the players play for the coach and go in hard and the chain continues.

How many performances like our games against Collingwood, North Melbourne, Richmond, West Coast and our 64 point drubbing at the hands of Gold Coast today would it take for the club to sack Justin Leppitsch? It is fairly clear that he does not have the necessary tactical or motivational skill required to coach at the elite level. When I asked this question during our pathetic performance against Nth Melbourne, there were those who were highly critical of me, but Leppitsch and the Lions seem determined to prove me right. Whoever was responsible for extending his contract is looking like a very bad judge now. I would sack him immediately and give his replacement an opportunity to settle in to the role this year. As things stand, our season is over after five rounds, so it isn't going to make much difference.

I bought my son the full Brisbane Lions outfit for Auskick, but fortunately he is too young to realise what his father has done to him. Only Lion jumper in a sea of 5 yr old Tigers, Hawks, Pies, Cats and Blues. He said to me this morning, we are Lions daddy because they are the strongest animal. Poor kid.

I'm sick of forking out money on memberships, merchandise etc, not to mention what you spend at the game, for these so called AFL footballers to put in no effort at all. I don't care if we lose, but to lose how we are, well that will do me! The basic skill level is atrocious, I was watching them warm up very early and Paparone was throwing a ball up to himself and punching it, he is deadset unco! Mitch Robinson cops it everywhere and he is pretty bad, but you know what, at least he attacks the ball and plays hard. Some of these other recruits are downhill skiers. Not sure where they go to from here.

We are a disaster in every way. The on field performances are just killing us. Off Field we can't even find a new base to train at. Changing coach doesn't fix anything. We have a terrible list. Our drafting has been way off. Not enough focus on getting that tall forward we need. Yes there are plenty of excuses. The players tonight just weren't accountable. They all need to take a good long hard look at themselves.

Would Bomber get along with Leigh?

I would rather have Matthew Knights. Rebuilt the Essendon list and has done very well coaching the Geelong reserves. Just as we need to avoid past players, we should also avoid blokes like Thompson. He is not only past it, but I don't think he is that hungry. We don't want to end up doing a St.Kilda and getting a Malcolm Blight type. We don't need a Messiah, we just need a coach with a football brain and the ability to instill some discipline in the team.

I would have loved to have snagged Hinkley as a coach. He has done wonders for Port, even downhill skiers like Polec are excelling under him.

I would even give Woosha Worsfold a go. A premiership coach who I think still has a lot to offer.

Nope, have zero idea about them, team record etc. But maybe we'd find people who'd like to give the jumper some blood.

Two years ago when my son was born I agreed with the Mrs that he could be a Hawks supporter (mainly because he's on the MCC wait list and there'd be no point him following us/he'd get to go to Hawks games, he's a Little Hawk member in the meantime).

I used to say to the Mrs that by the time the little one is 5yo Brisbane will be back up the top and the Hawks will be down the bottom and he'll wish he was a Lions supporter. Yeah right!
