Why is everyone being so harsh on Martin for? He was priced at 85 and he scored 78. Not ideal but hardly 'grab your torch and pitchforks' type stuff. If the worst thing that happens to me this round is Dustin Martin scoring 78 I'll probably win the weekly prize.

Nah im alright, its only bben 3 games, a whole season to go
just pointing out this is a vent thread, there are plenty of threads for you to gloat and have a go at other peoples teams (and players) picked

Can you please show me where i was gloating?

I wasnt having a go! I said he got wright and didnt quite get Yarran (cant get em all) stop taking things the wrong way

Yes it is only 3 games played many more to come, people need to chill more

Yeah I don't really understand it either. Plus, it's more Hardwick's decision to play him as a permanent forward for the whole second half. He scores just fine when he is playing up the ground.

Where do I start...

Argh good to see the Heppell and Dangerfield fans in here

Embley in 10% of teams, that makes me happy

Must admit strongly considered but it was probably his game against port that made me change, other than that i wouldnt have and also the wellingham injury. He only scored 53 from 91% tog in port game and tagged a bit from watching it. Also thought hed go to fyfe in negating role, he played on fyfe to great success last time.

Glad i avoided so far, only round 1.

Lol Kane Lucas the BF regular pick it seems

Got Wright but cant have Yarran yogibbear cant get em all
Gloating & schadenfreude

Pretty sure he spent time up forward in the first half as well. That +9 did help him to 49 points at the half. The reason he is copping shit is because last night he did exactly what he did for most of last year, score around 50 in the first 1/2 and then fall away. Ever stopped to think that the reason he spent the second half in the forward line is because he still doesn't have the tank to play out a full game in the guts?

If only his kick to handball ratio was reversed he would in fact have scored 60

Yep, can't really complain though JJK and Kruezer covered for his deficiencies. Hopefully lucas can step up or wines/whitfield put their hand up to be selected.

Actually contemplating trading Lucas to JJK via a mid/fwd swap ASAP, but worried that's a little hasty after a week of football. Still, can you see Lucas scoring better than last night against Collingwood next week?

His time forward and in the middle/wing was fairly well split in the first half. Compared to the second half where he only ventured up a couple of times.

Of course his tank is probably an issue but he spent that much time at full forward last night that there is no way he wouldn't be able to have a few more runs up on the wing. He spent more time up the ground and in the middle in his first season than he has in his last couple, surely his endurance hasn't worsened? From all reports his endurance had improved a lot this preseason.

What ever is the reason for him not playing enough in the midfield, it's not good. One of my forwards will become Leuenburger and Martin is a big chance to become that player but I'm not overly pissed off at his score last night, just his role.

Possibly, he was mainly keeping houli quiet last night. Who knows what this round holds, hopefully that's the largest problem I have but doubtful

Karnezis is having some bullshit luck ATM. He's had a kick and a handball taken off of him due to somebody else giving away a free in a tackle before he got to the ball, he had a borderline mark not paid for not being 15 metres, and he had a kick smothered off the boot. That's in just one quarter. He could be on 24 points at QT, instead he's on 13.
