Going away from the footy topic here so here goes.

I have to attend a family function Friday and i figured since it is going to be 30 degrees I would wear my dressy shorts, got told in no uncertain terms that shorts are out and it's long pants no questions asked, my response was " GAGF that's bullshit, ladies are allowed to wear dresses or short skirts but I have to wear ******* long pants " blokes get ripped off when it's warm to hot weather and we have to dress like its ******* winter when attending formal functions while the gals can dress like its summer.

Rant over.
crikey where's the function the MCC dining room:eek:

Will wear the pants but am taking my shorts with me and if I see even one dude in shorts then it will be a swift change of clothing.
Rock the skirt and then when you get the weird looks use the leftist ideology to your advantage. Say you're transitioning then if they ask more questions just reply with buzzwords like "privilege, triggering and cis" then call someone a shitlord for oppressing people that don't celebrate christmas. Also adopt this face when arguing

When standing in a line such as at Safeway or Dan Murhpy's etc and a new checkout opens. Instead of the next few people in line starting the fresh checkout certain socially ******ed sociopaths who are at the back of the line and have been standing there for a matter of 4 seconds consider it their right to jump the line and go straight to the front of the new que. If you don't know that that is irritating and inconsiderate you need to be retrained in dealing with humans. It should be a minimum four year jail term for lack of common sence. I can feel my eye start to twitch when I witness such selfish stupidity and then find myself day dreaming of strangling the guilty party on the spot.

So it's Chritamas and lots of lines. Merry Christmas que jumpers....and go suck a ****!

Update on last night, wore the pants but changed to shorts once dinner and speeches were over, though over heard the host later on annoyed that only a handful of blokes turned up in ties, talked footy for a limited time but report this

1. Hawthorn fan in disbelief that they picked up Vickery.
2. Carlton fan blowing his load over players i have not heard off and thinks 2018 will see them skyrocket up the ladder

Carlton: proudly winding their fans up since 1999.

There would be a certain irony in beating them to death on the spot with a plastic Christmas tree just bought from Aldi. No jury would convict you.

I never thought of it like that, more like Your keno numbers just came up. Have always held the view that the retailer is accountable for customers to be served in an orderly manner. What grates me more than that in fact infuriates me is when some ****wit behind the counter goes, oooohh , who's next ,,,like FMD so you want me to do your job. Too, wtf are you being paid for campaigner

I had a look at our age demographics and am starting to see what some of the negative posters are on about.

This is a list that should be contending for a Premiership, not wallowing in the bottom 6. If we finish in the bottom 10 or bottom 6, then what was the reason behind giving away pick 6 and a second rounder for Prestia and Caddy? OK, Caddy's acquisition I don't really mind as much for a second rounder, but Prestia's for pick 6 is the one I am talking about more.

Yeah, they are both good players, but what will a bottom-place finish cost us next year? Dusty and Riewoldt may leave. Yeah, that will give us good picks, but would finishing lower on the ladder next year and losing these players be better with Prestia or a younger player that could become the next star of the competition?? I think the younger player.

Why? Because I think it would make us stronger in the next rebuild than the position we are in now. See it as if we have potentially already lost a star midfielder for the next rebuild. If anyone asks "but what guarantee do we have that the other two youngsters would be any good?", my response to that question is that the club should be able to nail the first and second round like so many other teams have in the past.

All in all, I get the acquisition of Prestia (and Caddy) if we are launched into the top 8 again. Then, we can trade in developed KPPs next year and would be a good chance of contesting for a Premiership the following season. But, if that doesn't occur and we finish in the bottom 6 let's just say, then I'd be a little puzzled as to why we gave up pick 6.

But, I guess what's done is done. For next season, I don't think a finish outside the top 8 is acceptable for the reason I stated above. We need to finish in the top 8 or else a full-scale rebuild looms yet again.

Maybe it's because we don't have the have culture or confidence to develop kids when we are bottom. We seem to struggle to do it even when we are around the eight.
The whole Richmond thing is hard thing to work out. We just need a shit load of luck.

This is why I want Richmond to rocket up into at least the top 8 this year. That would give their current culture a bit of a shake up. They have the decent top end talent aged between 24-29, but I want the 18-22 year olds to surprise.

How else are they expecting to change the culture at Richmond? It is tough to build a list solely relying on trading in recruits. It is actually easier building a list relying on your own good development and relying less on trading in players.
Anyway, we have done that part now, and need sudden and sharp improvement from the 18-22 year olds to make what we have done in the off-season a clever move.

For once, I want to see Richmond surprise in a good way (rocketing into the top 8 while many had them in the bottom 4 etc.). Or, form a gameplan that others struggle to counter.

DEVELOPMENT has been diabolical. I can point to one, two maybe only players on our list who we have developed.
The guns like Riewoldt, Martin, Cotchin were always going to be guns, so we can take no credit.
Rance, well he's come a long way from what he was in his first few years and blossomed after hardwick and more specifically Leppitsch arrived.
I would suggest we have probably fast-tracked the development of Rioli by gifting him many games in 2017, when his form did not warrant it, but we were a long way off the pace early last season and never chance of recovering despite what the coaches and playing group said about us 'being here before and bouncing back'.
I can't think of a single other player who we have really developed.
Too early to tell with Markov (year three is genuinely when you'll find if a player has it or not - outside genuine gun first round picks); none of CEllis, Mendaue, Drummond or Butler took significant steps last season (again year three - this year - will be telling); Lennon has not kicked on; BEllis gone backwards; Vlastuin did not have his best year by a long way and two others drafted his year - McDonough and McBean - have departed.
Unless something drastic happens, expect our fortunes to again revolve around Riewodt, Rance, Martin, Cotchin and Prestia.

I love dogs, have my own.

At my beach there are breeding pairs of hooded plovers. Tiny little fellas that you see running along the shoreline. They lay their eggs in the rocks above the high tide line. Their eggs and chicks are therefore totally defenceless.
So when campaigners completely ignore the signs setting all this out it makes my blood boil. Dogs running around everywhere and guess what, no more hooded plovers.
For that matter the blue tongue population has disappeared, other ground nesting birds gone, but all good because the dog can have some fun.
Selfish, dumb campaigners.

Bit harsh on C. Ellis, Drummond and Butler there, Goldy. All three were coming off significant, long term injuries.

WHY don't the useless mods just go ahead and ban me???
Like, really ... if you aren't going to ban me from posting in every second thread when you let every other person say what they want, what's the point.
Fully expect to be not allowed to post in the 'Vent' thread next.
Getting banned from the POTY thread is a joke!

Best vent in the whole Vent Thread.
(Also, a nice apology)
