Crisp averaging 103 in wins with a good run of very winnable games coming up
Witherden averaging a career best 25 touches a game and averaging 90

Both had so much upside upside...
Both royally ****ed me...

giphy.gif

Excuse time! Crisp got screwed by CD and the Suns have the worst ball movement in the comp so Withers couldn't get anywhere near it...

Anyway I'm confident they'll end up as my D4/D5 and average 90-95 during their time in my side

How did you get sucked in exactly? He scored like shit in his first 2 games and plays a bad role.

I only brought him as DPP to open up some midfield downgrade options for the defence rookies.
I'm wondering why I traded him in myself as this was all obvious beforehand!
Main reason was if I traded in Baker I either had to
- trade out Parker earlier than I wanted
or
- Trade out Clark and run with no bench cover in defence.

So I traded in Lockhart
Ran with no cover on forward bench and was rewarded with a shit score from Lockhart (on bench) a donut after Marshall was a late out and opportunity cost of missing out on Baker (and Ross)

Terrible decision.

David Mundy has absolutely ****ed me.
Started with him as my masterstroke POD.
scored 73 and 35. Traded his arse to an on fire TKelly, who has averaged 90.25 whilst in my team.
Mundy then goes on to score 104, 151, 83, 122...
So a trade down the drain and 100 points gone with it.

And now every campaigner is trading in Kelly at a cut price this week. **** you, Mundy.

Not has bad as my David Mundy experiment.
Brought him at high price made him captain and ten minutes later broken leg ....and .....ten fuuuuuu SC points.
Back before you could loop VCs.

You can do the JM magic out and back in again trade move :moustache:.

Scott Lycett, Scott Li-ability... come on down.

Traded down from Goldy after his miserable 50 odd v lions to licehead post his 167, excited about his dpp, bye flexibility & 120k change to boot.

Reactive, rookie trade & I’ve since had a spud who’s barely averaged 70 who I’m stuck with until the byes. The flog doesn’t even look like scoring anything remotely satisfying.

Traded Ridley > Newman in Rd2 (when Ridley was dropped and Newman was coming off a 134 in Rd1

I was rewarded with 82, 68, 94, 84, 57, Injured 2-3 weeks

Net result = 77 average from a $394k investment. Unfortunately the Mid-price-Madness lifestyle isn't always champagne and instagram THOT's like my social media presence might lead you to believe. :$

Williams > Marshall via Moore hasnt worked well. It did give me just enough cash to do Cousins > Neale the following week but i could've raised that cash with a different trade. So far it has dished up 113 points (Marshall's 50 & Parker's 63 as cover) while Williams has scored 212 so im down 99 points. I still have high hopes for Marshall and the 25k was useful but i accept the trade at this moment looks pretty terrible, no one to blame but myself though.

Not getting O'Brien.

I figured Jacobs would be coming back soon and he'd be dropped regardless of how well he was playing, in previous years I have been screwed over in like this way too many times, getting cheap rucks on the bubble and them getting dropped after only 1 or 2 price rises and not playing again.

Plus I already had Grundy and Gawn as my 2 starting rucks and Zac Clarke on the bench as well who was the only other cheap ruck who was also playing, however he was only averaging a bit under 60 while O'Brien has averaged around 85 I believe. Anyway, I didn't do it cos I thought how much more would O'Brien make me and is it worth the trade, nah. Then Clarke is a late out and out ever since (although he might be back this week).

:(

Also Heeney > Dahlhaus after round 2, I feel as though that was kinda a waste of a trade.

No Baker or Ross.

I've made some silly decisions, but I feel that not getting them (which wasn't really as silly at the time) will be the most costly.

I traded in Lockhart over Ross last week and I am already regretting it.

Only did it for DPP as I plan to move Lockhart to defence when I cash in the likes of Scrimshaw, Wilkie, Duursma, etc.

Except that will leave my defence cover as Burgess and Lockhart. ****.

Going to have to hide this guy at M11.

I was ok with Lockhart being shit when I brought him in.

I decided to get Hateley this week instead of Ross. But then hateley was dropped FFS.

This was my painful trading sliding door moment...
RD2 trade, i.e. after RD1
Libba ($300,400) to Sheed ($394,100)

Reasoning: Libba got 28 poss but only scored 75, whilst sheed scored 144
WCE are gonna win plenty of games and Sheed will be in the thick of the action, so he'll continue his JLT form and score plenty

From RD2:
Libba 128 150 106 98 71
Sheed 100 111 65 66 42

Lost 169 points
Lost ~$300K = Lost $100K from bank + Lost $190K gain from Libba

I could have used that money to do a straight swap of Libba to Fyfe this week and be sweet

...
Two wrongs does not make a right!
But, I'm going to keep Sheed and skip Fyfe this week
Instead, I'm going double down on Houli !

I'm playing with fire - but, stuff it - yolo!

I managed to kill off Libba's form by trading him in before Rd5, will give him one more week to turn it around.

I'm also toying with the idea of trading in Houli for Newman, risky trade but he could pay off as a POD.
