Exclude!Dermie on crunch time this morning. "Let's exonerate Geelong from the equation..."
I think he meant "remove" so may have been looking for "expunge"?
Fair enough mistake maybe, I couldn't recall the ex word meaning remove either and had to look it up for this post.
Funny that there was possibly a tiny pause as he said it like he knew he'd stuffed up, but decided to plough on regardless.
It's ok Derm, I have sympathy for you on this one.
Absolutely. Not sure where I was going with "expunge."Isn't the usual phrase simply "exclude x from the equation"? In usual Derm fashion, vocabulary ambition exceeds capability.
Did ya miss when Bucks said the arrival of Tom Mitchell “thickens the soup” in our midfield. Not really a faux pas as such, just a hard metaphor to stomachI heard a new one from Buckley this morning. He was talking about Collingwood when he said "patterning".
Ha. Nah, I missed that one. He’s too serious for me, so I skip a lot of his stuffDid ya miss when Bucks said the arrival of Tom Mitchell “thickens the soup” in our midfield. Not really a faux pas as such, just a hard metaphor to stomach

I'm not sure about the exact context, but it was something about patternsWhat did he mean exactly?
No, not reaDale Thomas is one of the worst at dropping the "ly" off words. I'm pretty sure it was him tonight who said after the game, "did you take it personal?"
yeah, f'ark, is "learnings" new? Someone on radio yesterday said, "what learnings did you take from it?"Richardson: “X was never going to get there in time, it’s a learning for him.”
It’s been around for a little while.yeah, f'ark, is "learnings" new? Someone yesterday on radio said, "what learnings did you take from it?"

It grinds my gears when I hear kids say "learnings" and "versings" etc, but kind of understandable in a way.yeah, f'ark, is "learnings" new? Someone on radio yesterday said, "what learnings did you take from it?"
