He'd wanna show something Ham. I've never had a whipping boy but feel Stepho may fulfil this role for me. Sooooooooo much to offer, but rarely on display.
He's on track for 30 in the wet. Yep he is soft but has some skill and a good decision maker, which we don't really have in the seniors. He isn't going to command pick 19 either. He's ours, back him in

Need's 30 under the roof on a dry track and rip a game apart. He's played 1 good game that only our Perth brethren have seen live last year.
Hoj he averaged nearly 20 possessions and just under a goal a game last year. Played more than one good game. Was a good pick up, he's out of form and lacking confidence, that's evident.

There is something off about stevo

Starting to seem like Polec Mk II

Both would be good players in good teams, where there’s enough players around them doing the hard yards! Put simply, have no interest in getting involved in the contest!

You're kidding about Goater yeah? Stuffed a few simple kicks and has been beaten by his man easily. Hasn't done much except kick the ball in.
Only

only watched a quarter or so, maybe too big of a call. Was a beautiful pick up at full stretch that looked afl quality.

MM looked good. Great kick and a few clean pick ups.
Stephenson and Lazz both pretty good on ball most of the day.
Hore should be playing HB over Kyron, but anyway.
Spicy P with a couple flashes of brilliance!
Mahony was clean all day but just dosnt find it enough, nor was he damaging.

Goater doesn't look like a defender, probably should be used higher up.

Lazzaro: Continually shown himself to be a solid midfielder at VFL level when he gets played on-ball. Good skills, clean and good spread. His ability at this level is clear, but he lacks a point of difference ahead of some of our better midfielders at AFL level.

Goater: Was particularly good in the first quarter with his intercept work. I'm not sure why we play him as one of the deepest defenders for much of the time. Need to play him further up the ground and let him use his run and carry and long kicking to move the ball quickly and rack up those gained meters. He linked up this way in the second half of the 2nd quarter and it really helped move the ball.

McGuinness: Good use by foot generally, cracked in. Feel like he's worth persisting with because he's shown improvement and will presumably only get better with more muscle on his frame.

Others that stood out for one reason or another:
Stephenson: Worth noting that while he hasn't had a ton of the ball, I feel like his work-rate and defensive efforts have been great.
Spicer: Looked lively when it's near him, not near him enough.
Edwards: Lack of effort when the ball hits the deck to follow up and apply defensive pressure, he hasn't offered much in the air either despite it being kicked in his direction a few times in contests. Not sure if lazy or lacking fitness.
Re Lazz - that might actually be a worthwhile point of difference.

Its not that he's soft. Can cop that given he's a twig and has other attributes. it often seems like he just doesn't gaf.

Can you bring anyone in after a 70 point loss? You lose by that much, nobody is doing their job.

It's depressing to be this crap at both levels.
