Sleevo needs to do some tackle practise with CZ, he just seems to careful when tackling, kinda hold the opponent without doing much.
Jump on the bloke and drag him down!!!

Some good stats there from some of our AFL lads - especially is such a depleted VFL side with no CCJ or big Charlie. We need the likes of Laz, Sleevo and the Spicey one to replace the plodders in the seniors. (I'm desperately looking for green shoots!)

MM looked good. Great kick and a few clean pick ups.
Stephenson and Lazz both pretty good on ball most of the day.
Hore should be playing HB over Kyron, but anyway.
Spicy P with a couple flashes of brilliance!
Mahony was clean all day but just dosnt find it enough, nor was he damaging.

Goater doesn't look like a defender, probably should be used higher up.
It’s the North Melbourne way.

Take an explosive athletic mid and plonk then in a back pocket.

North Melbourne (VFL)
This weekend: North Melbourne v Box Hill at Arden Street Oval, Sunday June 5, 1.05pm AEST

MATCH CENTRE Check out all the stats from North Melbourne's clash

Young midfielder Charlie Lazzaro acquitted himself well in North Melbourne's 71-point loss to Box Hill with 26 disposals, four clearances and seven tackles.

Jaidyn Stephenson had 26 touches, four clearances and six tackles in another solid outing as he seeks a return to North's AFL side.

Former Melbourne AFL teammates Marty Hore (35 disposals, nine marks) and Dom Tyson (27 disposals) were also busy on a tough day for the Kangaroos.

Key defender Matt McGuinness had 17 disposals and six marks as his end of the ground saw plenty of the ball.

Re Lazz - that might actually be a worthwhile point of difference.
Ed Langdon is celebrated league wide for this exact trait. Has made a career off being a link man with serviceable skills and an incredible tank.
No world beater in term of skills but when you’re all on your own 45m in the clear on a wing because you’ve worked harder on the spread than anyone else on the ground, the game slows down and you don’t have to be the best field kick to hit a target and make big plays for your team.

The Shane Clayton role?

Sure haha
I don’t actually remember him playing for north, was probably on 9 or 10 at a guess when he was on the list, sorry mate !

Classic whipping boy who spent a great deal of time on his own running up and down the wing.

His final tally of 99 games for North must mean he has 15 boys of unbelievable talent that we will see playing for GWS.
His 5 girls will wear royal blue and white. :)

Ahh, Shane Claytons my first official whipping boy.. the straight back running gait and little legs pumping like pistons as if he was running on a treadmill..

You always remember your first..

LOL at Shane Clayton comments, but Gibbo (the good one) did this too a bit.

Must be a real hoot being a player at the club at the minute.

10+ goal beltings for the seniors and reserves week after week.......

The admin have a lot to answer for at the minute.

The thing people forget about Melbourne's resurgence, was Casey were a contending VFL side even when the AFL side were terrible, so you could see the signs of a strong underbelly.

We are just a basket case across both sides atm.

Melbourne also have a very good record of list health. ☹️

99 games including the 99 Grand Final. He was a whipping boy but definitely good enough to be in that team
