Disagree a bit in that pokies target the elderly (do in W.A atleast) which I think makes it much more morally repulsive then the others
Hard to disagree.
They need to replace the pokies with Raiden and Street Fighter machines.

Hawthorn do make the most out of any club. Although they're really not far ahead of my own club, who should also exit pokies. It's a harder proposition for poorer clubs to do that though, especially those carrying ongoing debt. That's why North's stance on pokies is particularly admirable.
Yep but your mob are still sucking millions out of poor people in the wester suburbs!North got rid of theirs because they weren't making money off them
The issue
Gambling ads are changing the way kids see sport. It’s gotten to the point where kids don’t know sport without it. By understanding the risks of sports gambling, they can enjoy sport for what it really is, and love the game, not the odds.lovethegame.vic.gov.au
so now the 10 Victorian AFL clubs have a conscience and want us not to gamble?

Most Vic clubs had already stopped. North, Dees, Dogs, Geelong etc.
Your question should be directed to the likes of Carlton and Hawthorn who have stagering amount of pookies and revunue from it.
Are these clubs looking for compensation from the AFL?
The variables (fixture, broadcast exposure etc) of AFL funding have nothing to do with pokies and if clubs should abuse them.
I am sure they are asking for compensationAre these clubs looking for compensation from the AFL?
