How does Seymour lose his contract 🤔

Seymour and Dean essentially occupy the same position in CV. Late 20's/early 30's opening bat who probably isn't in the best XI. Seymour had his early ton but did nothing else, and Dean made tons late and made it his contract.

Also, Todd Murphy can seriously bowl. Seriously gives it a rip for an off-spinner, really classical action that generates a lot of drift and bounce even when the deck isn't turning. One to watch and I'm glad he's been give the Aus A nod.

I'm wondering whether or not we go with two spinners for 7 of the 10 games. Set up our pitches for spin and use Murphy and Parker as much as possible.

happy for them to have Nasho contracts to play white ball cricket.

I do not see why we should offer contracts to whitte ball players
Why wouldn't we give them a contract? It literally costs CV nothing as they're nationally contracted players and CA pay their contract and match payments for Victoria.

If we don't give them said contract, they go to one of the other states and the only difference will be that they play against us rather than for us.

McClure and Parker bowling well is handy. Interesting that Dean didn't open the batting, opting for Chandrasinghe instead. Probably ends up like:

Puck
Chandrasinghe
Dean
Merlo
Kellaway
Harper
O'Neill
O'Connell
Perry
Parker
Elliott

As the bats. Strong 11. Much stronger than the NSW side so this is probably expected.

Good to see most sides putting out some strong 2nd XI sides prior to the shield season. The Cricket Australia youtube has been streaming the NSW Vic match too, would love to see more streams of these matches.
