i reckon they should load covid vaccines in aerosol form into tear gas canisters and launch them at the crowd. its a win in. either it will vaccinate them, or theyll be more scared of it than they are of gay/female/non-white equality and they'll disperse pretty quick.

I just don't understand what they want.

If the goal is that they want to work without being vaccinated then fine but sign a form that says if you or your family get Covid, then you are at the back of the line as far as hospital triage is concerned should it be required. (I don't think this should ever happen FWIW).

Always been an advocate for water cannons just like Europe. That scatters them.

Of course. I'm sure that a lot of those that turned up on Saturday are there today, and have no interest in the what is happening with the construction industry.

the tradies that decided to all have lunch on main roads (protesting simply not being allowed to have a lunch room when so many people cant even go to work) certainly were all legit tradies. likely most of the guys causing this violence arent tradies, thats as obvious as the fact that most the people rioting for BLM werent actually blm protestors, but after their previous sooks and the 70%+ of worksites breaking essentially the law, i have no sympathy.

i dont see why that shouldnt happen. the vaccine is essentially a pre-treatment which helps limit the severity of any infection (and no, its nothing like 'just exercise fat person' or 'just quit smoking right now'). i dont see why preferential treatment shouldnt be given to those who took on the responsibility to get a free vaccine yet still required hospitalisation, compared to some shithead who didnt. if getting the vaccine is a choice, then that choice cna have ramifications.

this all has to be tempered with the vaccine being freely, fairly and readily available to everyone befor eit could possibly be implemented. Similar to how it wont be fair to young people to implement vaccine passports until we've actually had a chance to get both pfizer shots. and of course there would be exemptions for medical reasons, and for children because unfortunately there are children raised by antivaxxers.

If it were up to me I'd have all these protesters medicare cards torn up and any taxes they pay to contribute towards the operating of Medicare refunded to them. But it isn't and I don't want to live in an Australia where that can happen.

oh no, dont get me wrong that would be a nightmare. im not advocating not to treat people do dont get vaccinated. but you cant literally treat everyone at the literal same time, it still has to happen in some kind of order, this person first, that person next, that person next etc. im just saying that if it comes down to the worst case choice of having 1 ventilator available and theres a vaxxed and unvaxxed person needing it, it should go to the vaxxed.

if not simply because you know that the vaxxed person will accept any treatment offered so they have a better chance of survival, whereas the unvaxxed has history to suggest they might refuse some other drug that needs to be administered later for a proper recovery, and you end up with 2 dead people when you could have at least saved one.

And add to that form, if you and your family remain unvaccinated don't expect entry into pubs,, clubs, sporting events and the like

Problem is for too long they (the construction industry) have been given far too much leeway. What happens when you give someone an inch, they take a mile. The majority of Victorians have had to suck it up either being completely laid off or working from home. And when the construction industry is finally called into line they behave like spoilt children

theres a pretty big difference between those and ink. pepper spray presumably has a colour, but ink is specifically designed to change the colour of things, eyes work by detecting light (ie, colour). having a colouring agent put into your eye could very well impact your ability to see.

Is it a dye or ink? If its like the colour dye in clothing tags it doesn't wash away quickly which I suppose is what Police want to achieve to identify the ringleaders.

People like this are the worst case of idiot. Bringing kids in to act as a shield. Absolute coward.
 
These protestors have forfeited their right to be treated by our healthcare system. Those who are caught should have a black mark against their name and banned from every clinic and hospital Aus wide.
If any are from O.S they should be immediately deported.
I feel like my heart's been ripped out. What a shameful shameful day
