called it last night. Just too predictable.
Isn't any case that hasn't yet been traced to another contact or source a mystery case? As in, a fairly common thing.

I like this new substitute for the other f word. Just like Eddie introduced campaigner into Bigfooty lexicon as a substitute for the c word, credit to Bambi for fleetingAnd Warrick Capper has a variant named after him
The world has gone fleeting mad!
There are no new mystery cases today. 3 cases linked to West Melbourne cluster, one case a close contact of the existing cluster in isolation.called it last night. Just too predictable.

But anything is possible if you don’t bother to listen.
Hold on. The West Melbourne cluster is the delta variant, not the kappa. We don’t yet have confirmation on the source of this variant. There are no new mystery cases today. 3 cases linked to West Melbourne cluster, one case a close contact of the existing cluster in isolation.

Well you didn’t, you predicted a mystery case. There are no new mystery cases. You missed the point. Was predicting something new would show up today.
Yes but it used to be 15 minutes face to face with someone, or 2 hours in a crowded room. This beast is not waiting around that long. But it’s not a new thing. It’s a virus and a pandemic. Stranger to stranger is nothing new and doesn’t need to be mentioned now.
The index case of that was already a mystery case. The rest of the cases in that cluster are linked to the index case, they have a known source and are therefore not mystery cases.Hold on. I would argue that any Delta cases are mystery until we find the HQ leak.

Last night genomic sequencing was returned that showed the West Melbourne cluster was not genomically linked to any other case in Australia. Would you prefer for them to withhold that information?
Speak English, not Greek. Is the kappa the Indian one? What's the delta? I can't keep up.Hold on. The West Melbourne cluster is the delta variant, not the kappa. We don’t yet have confirmation on the source of this variant.

It’s probably the most important thing to come out of today’s press conference. Prior to that, it seemed pretty safe to assume it was linked somehow to the existing cluster, unlikely there were a bunch of missing links. Now we know it’s an unrelated breach, and it is not even genomically linked to any cases discovered in Australia until now. So we have no idea where it has come from or how long it has been spreading in the community.Unless it materially changes how we are to act in the midst of a lockdown, yes. I understand that it's new information, but what value does it add without sufficient analysis of its impact?
I don’t know why you even watch the press conferences. You refuse to believe anything said.Haha.. let me explain myself then for you sheeple. My point was- something new would show up today (tongue in cheek) so they can save face. I should have given a list of all potential bad news for you. How wrong of me. Where did this new variant come from that we’ve never seen in Australia?
“we are scared about this outbreak, let’s use big words to scare people into believing this lockdown is required”
How else do you want to explain their magical new words that have now been shut down by numerous epidemiologists ?
There are now 8 “fleeting transmission” cases after yesterday’s news of the two false positives. Why no mention of these before yesterday? Why today?
Variant this, variant that. FMD, wake up. "Join the blood clot lotto! It's SAFE".
Meanwhile The Indian BAR Association are serving it to their WHO rep for with holding/suppressing Ivermectin. The data is out, Ivermectin annihilates CV19. At least it's India vs the WHO, more than we can say for our gutless pack of money hungry dog politicians.
I don’t know why you even watch the press conferences. You refuse to believe anything said.
Why do you think that is the case?
They know more about the cases in Victoria than anybody else...I’ll believe what’s said when they aren’t getting smashed by real experts in the field.
Is the regular variant the original Wuhan strain? The difference between the Indian variant and the regular variant is the Delta variant.
You tell me. I asked the question.
They had to come up with a few more fleeting cases today to counter the false positives out there so as to justify their lockdown extension announcement. That was one of the major reasons for the extension so have needed to find/make up some more along the line somewhere. Why do you think that is the case?
