the first group is so much stronger its a joke. this will not work especially down the grades... i give it one season.

I still don't fully understand how this system works, and even why they implemented it. They call the old system stale, but that's because certain top clubs had access to better facilities, better playing groups. A lot of the outer suburbs clubs lost a lot of good players due to the time committment and the lure of dollars at another club.

Perhaps the VCA needed to look at those objectives before they start to play around with the structure. I found the system fine. Was never bored/stale and had the opportunity to play against all sides and players from Victoria.

A little confused about the lower grades....

Do they play the same teams as the 1XI's? Or do they have the same formats for each grade?

I would say that it would all follow the 1st XI, as otherwise ground availability would become very hard to co-ordinate.

All grades continue to play even though the final rankings for the following year are based on the 1st XI. All games count towards the Club Championship.
