Richmond would still be following through though, wouldn't they?

Is the protest being heard tonight?

No. Richmond didn't lodge a protest. Only Northcote.

Would be interested in knowing why they pulled the pin on it.

I guess it doesn't affect Northcote at all now, because if the protest was upheld they still wouldn't make the finals. Maybe also having to pay for the protest would've put them off it, although I'm sure the Tigers would have funded it for them!

Also, is that the 4th year in a row that the Tiges have missed out on the finals in the last round?

No it hasn't because I have spoken to a high ranking official at the Richmond Cricket Club and the protest is being heard tonight as per article in the Age today.

Northcote withdrew their appeal this afternoon, fixtures stand

Why didn't Richmond appeal?
I heard Richmond bowled a few not so good bowlers due to the fact of the slow over rate rule, if they had have known they wouldn't lose any points from it they would have finished late but won the game and raised their %.

Gee good on you MROBBO, maybe you need to be called Eric Preace from now on....you know....with the LATE NEWS.

Maybe you can be a bit more trusting next time!
