If the shops in Geelong are any indiciation, if you want to get a Victory Pack you better get in quick.

Was trying to get one for an X-mas present today and was unable to find one in 5 stores before finally seeing one in target (there was a handful left).

Not surprised. Said in the Hun this week that AFV expected the Geelong GF DVD to sell over 50,000 copies by Christmas. The next highest seller was the 1990 Maggies win which has sold around 26,000.

Trying to find copies in Geelong leading up to Chrissy would be like searching for a single piece of hay in a massive stack full of needles.

Are you serious? I've seen plenty in Sanity (city and Waurn Ponds) and that DVD store in Market Square... Ezydvd?

Pal22,what shops couldn't you find it in ?
I was in the Waurn Ponds shopping centre on Wednesday and saw it in Target & Sanity.I saw it in shops in Corio Village and town in the last week.

I was in and around Town on Friday and went to JB Hifi, Sanity, Balls N Bumper, The DVD department in Myer and K-Mart Belmont. Asked in all stores if they had any and was told that they were all sold out in all 5 stores. The girl in JB hifi told me that they had 150 copies in store last Saturday and they were all sold by Thursday.

Not sure about Ezy DVD as I didn't go there because I found one in Target Bay City.

Although all stores I went too had plenty of copies of the Season Highlights DVD and the Grand Final DVD.

Watched the season highlights, it was a bit unimaginative. All you got was goal-goal-goal-goal-goal-goal-press conference. I found it particularly bizarre that they kept on saying how good Egan and Scarlett were and then never showed them beating their men.

Agree. They could have done a better job on the Season Highlights disc. Very boring graphics for each game score, accompanied by shitful, repetitious music.
The goal kicking showed some great snap-shots, and over-the-shoulder goals, but apart from that, not a very interesting video at all.

was going to try and grab a victory pack at highpoint the other day, couldn't find one anywhere!! again plenty of copies of the season highlights DVD.
tried JB-HI, Sanity, Target, Big W, Myer and EzyDVD.
didn't ask about it in the shops, old man dropped a hint might be on the radar for xmas.... i bloody hope they're got a copy tucked away already!!!!

How hard is it to manufacture a DVD :mad:

I ordered my Victory pack from DVD Crave 3 weeks ago and they still don't have stock. Looks like my Christmas stocking is going to be empty this year :(

Don't know if its been mentioned, but the grand final in the pack contains the alternative commentary and I watched the grand final 5 times over just to get a different perspective on it. :thumbsu:

Yes. Although it is great stuff to watch, it is somewhat disappointing that EVERY DVD has skips and flaws. When I first bought the single GF DVD, I took it back, complaining that it was faulty. Got another in exchange and the same thing happened. Played it on a mate's player, and the same thing again. The Victory Set is similar, each DVD has minor hiccups. But I would estimate far less than 1% of the total playing time is dodgy.

Although these are only minor hiccups, you would think that the production company that made them could have done a little better. A poor effort on their behalf.

Frustrating. I've got them all fine on my laptop, but I'm hardly going to keep those files through the ages.
